This is Captain's Quarters in Louisville Kentucky and it's uninsurable because they are on the side of the river. he always has to pay out of pocket for damages.

It would have been in 1989 when I saw it. I remember the first Tim Burton Batman came out that summer. So we saw it about a decade apart. i remember it really not being that covered in coral at the time.

Deep water does unsettle me. Like, I've seen that image of sailors swimming over the Mariana Trench and just that wigs me out. Pearl Harbor monument also made me pretty uncomfortable. I think it's pretty common though. Not as severe as being afraid of pool drains. that honestly sounds like it sucks.

There's one in Key Largo as well. I got to see it when I was a teenager and got scuba certified. It's very unnerving to swim up to it. I can remember not really wanting to stick around
