Allegedly

Oh god I miss the person i was before I did.

But you might know GRB from other appearances such as the St. Jude's Childrens commercials, she was bald and had crazy huge glasses and dressed like a meemaw. Truly an insane story when you zoom out. The Kardashians even got involved at one point. She had more serious relationships while in prison than I have in my 30s lol

showmenemelda

Sutter Home? Lol

The wrong one to judge about what? I have a litany of things I judge the LDS church for. I'd start with the time they had a big abuse scandal break about 10 years ago, and conned all the women to go on a "social media blackout" preemptively. This was an aim to keep women in the dark on the abuse happening.

Or the fact Utah Costcos is reported to offer Utah men a "safe place." Every month, a group of Utah men come together in an unexpected place to talk about mental health while building connections and finding support.

And I'm not poking fun. The woman Ruby Franke teamed up with, Jodi Hildebrandt, was a counselor the LDS church regularly referred members to. And then she would supposedly gaslight, drive a wedge bw couples, and then move in on the wives. This story is a good overview. I think the Boy Scouts of America were also part of the narrative in the malpractice+ claims against her.

Pretty disturbing when you realize how much of American patriarchy nonsense stems from or is a carbon copy for LDS.

Fun fact, they are also quite adept at genealogy database building. Idk what to make of that. But it has made genealogy insanely easy now.

AND FINALLY, I wasn't even going to mention it—but since u/brilliant_host2803 did… Vietnam. I recently watched Winter Soldier by the Winterfilm Collective the testimony from men who were still practically boys in the horrific My Lai massacre in 1971. It really stuck out to me when one of them recalled a Mormon priest or elder/important person calling orders and just having zero humanity. I think about how many just like him were brainwashed, shipped off to do horrific acts to innocent civilians—then casually return to the states. Good Christians and stuff.

And that's on why galas and shit are absolutely insulting. Wow. How much is your ED making? That's insulting af.

showmenemelda

Someone has an idea that's complex that sounds ai

showmenemelda

Yes especially being a "flying monkey" reporting back to her.

showmenemelda

Wait, are you the identity crisis person in this ig? Please, go away.

showmenemelda

"BODE-NAR"

good luck with your puberty or HRT—either this link is not to content of a serious person.

showmenemelda

Not reading all that. Sorry that happened to you. Or congratulations.

You're so strong! If my parents weren't selectively poor when it suited their narrative—they probably still wouldn't bother. What a conflicting thing to realize I'm low key jealous of this level of hoovering. But all the same, a trip like this would no doubt end horribly for me.

I remember TSA being suspicious of my mom and I because we were both stressed the fuck out by the time we got to the airport. Not for anything fun—medical travel. That's pretty much the only travel I've done with my parents as an adult. And they did it begrudgingly.

No one can make this choice for you. But breaking nc with my mother when her mother died has been absolutely heartbreaking all over again. All the emotional support given none reciprocated. Was used as an opportunity by siblings to lecture me, do some shitty things to exclude me. It's been a really hard thing.

My mother also used my dad as a flying monkey/triangulation thing. Was pre-scapegoated [there is a better term i since learned i cannot recall atm] after the bogus "your number is long distance I can't call you" [hasn't changed in 20+ years and very much isn't long distance from their landline]. Then it was "we can never say anything right… you always get mad…" like, coo coo—I see you'll be micromanaging everyone's emotions but your own—love that for you 😒

It actually has me in this awful stage of grief wondering what it will be like when every estate is settled and there is zero tie/obligation to anyone. ALSO, super fucking insane feeling to grieve alongside someone you already grieved the loss of—and the person deceased you also already grived—because they were enmeshed.

Was eye-opening tho. My mom saying she wished she had died instead [her parents both lived long lives and GOOD lives], I was just like jfc—idk what is wrong with you but I understand a lot more about my childhood somehow.

Can't say "don't go," necessarily. Still feeling conflicted for not going to the viewing. So, sometimes moving through these hard things is the proverbial "nail in tbe coffin," [please excuse the pun] for making you remember why you chose what you did.

Biggest regret was giving any emotional energy to any of those fucking vampires tho. Not good people. Idk. Pre-dreading the last living grandparent. What are the odds two of the weirdest families would have 2 emotionally stunted people find each other and make more misery? Fuck.

Oh, and idk your sister but trusting mine at all was probably the dumbest thing I did next to trying to be there for anyone. Or even going. I really need to unpack it in therapy. It was rough. Wish I had practiced some toxic role playing first. Do not engage with anyone. And don't go if you don't need closure for "Uncle Dave" imo. You can honor him in your own way. I know I said no one can tell you. But re-reading it—I wouldn't go. Hugs on whatever you decide

showmenemelda

Not surprising. Equally infuriating.

It has been nearly 10 years since I drastically changed my way of eating. Turns out a lot of "mystery" issues and trash diagnoses like "ibs" and many—are allergies/food sensitivities/problematic for my big health issues.

My mom still plays the, I can never remember/idk what you eat/what you can eat, card. Like really? It's been a decade. Not that hard. I can't eat wheat and many others. But meat is usually safe for me. Even asking to forego the bun when getting Wendy's drive-thru was a "big deal" and "can you just take it off?" Like, can you be a big girl and just order it? It's not that crazy.

That said, I genuinely wonder what it would look like if one of their grandkids had a severe allergy. Like, sorry I don't have a confirmed celiac dx—I'm not gonna make myself wanna die going back on it for 6 weeks to test it. Especially when there's a family hx. The frustrating part is, I don't want to eat a super restricted diet. But I really wanna feel better. My parents have been "too old/tired" for decades now. Since their 30s tbh [now about 70].

I largely abstain from the whole dynamic at this point. But without fail, if I am around any of them—my plate is a big fucking deal to them. I just can't get over you eating sloppy joes like that, [on a plate, with a fork]. Oh? I'm sorry, that must be hard for you lol. Good luck with all your mystery health issues tho lady! [My mom's sister]. But i doubt a peanut allergy would be taken seriously. You loved peanut butter!

Omg your profile pic… Babe… 1995

Trifecta.

I just watched some stuff about her case last night. Her crazy "delusions" are now technology used in every day life and her husband worked for NASA. and he's now a lawyer. And is cited in a "successful whistleblower" case pertaining to using the RV he bought from Woroniecki in FL—which he used as a "personal vehicle" and "lodging" in an attempt to get more per diem. He won. I don't trust him. The new wife was a hot blonde thing.

showmenemelda

Idk why you're downvoted [oh right, reddit is full of incel Betty Whites]. It's true.

showmenemelda

Girl, just put on your pleather Spanx, run your fingers thru JD Vance's hair and thrust your hips to his—you got this /s

This has been the longest year ever BTW 😭😭

I brought up CK in my dumbass magatard speckled family over the 4th [my dog and I were desperate to escape fireworks] and I got weird looks. I wanted to start a fight but I'm already estranged

showmenemelda

The shitty bar you're regular at doesn't count as "travel"

showmenemelda

Almost like it's one of our state's biggest revenues. You probably shouldn't be rude considering tourism dependent businesses have taken a huge hit thanks to the geniuses who love bootlicking.

showmenemelda

Like a stalker

showmenemelda

Turns out I had little in common with the trumptards I knew bc of proximity and lack of options—besides getting drunk and making poor choices.

showmenemelda

That's why you're making reddit posts and not a paraplegic on trial

showmenemelda

Ha millennial men in Montana

Edit: I forgot this was the millennial sub when I posted this. So, apt.

showmenemelda

I refuse to give an iota of my time/energy/data to that fucking podcast or any other medicore white dude clinging to relevancy

showmenemelda

It's franks red hot, put that shit on everything. I actually want a second powerwash btl so I can do some weed killing trials.
