Oh no... guess you just have to... play dota?

I haven't had the opportunity to run campaigns, just lots of one-shots. But the way I look at it is, the purpose of the Luck track is to bring a hunter's story to a conclusion. If the playbook change lines up with a dramatic turn of events in the narrative that represents a very new chapter in the hunter's story, I would consider removing some or all of the marked Luck. For example, maybe a Mundane suddenly has a destiny that turns them into a Chosen. Or a Divine fulfills their Mission and loses the support of their Superiors. In cases like this, I would consider giving some Luck back. This hunter has a new story to tell, and being 5 marked Luck points deep may get in the way of telling this story.

But if a player simply wants to lean into the trope of a different playbook, keep their Luck where it is.

Just my 2 cents.

In addition to what others have said, consider having a Phenomenon that makes the rig haunted. The source could be on the rig itself or in the seafloor where the oil is being extracted.

Memory manufacturers are absolutely expanding their capacity but it takes a long time to build new fabs.

I swear this sub is just people spouting bullshit when it's anything related to AI or data centers. It takes two seconds to look up the many billions (hundreds) of dollars that are being committed to expand memory production by Hynix, Micron, Kioxia, and Samsung.

I can almost guarantee you the lease says you have to move your car for maintenance or some such.

While it's not strictly a hazy thing, I would throw in purging your keg using fermentation blowoff as a good way to get an O2-free keg.

skratchx

I'm a dumbass I read it as, "Disclaimer: has meat and dairy, but is gluten free."

skratchx

I will confidently say I failed to learn QM through his book in undergrad. But that was my shortcoming.

skratchx

I'm not op and didn't get to read the document yet. But I'm assuming a pressure rated stainless fermenter with bottom dump.

The monetization sucks but I wouldn't clutch my pearls over the internal dev build thing. It's stupid but likely just a joke.

I had the same conceptual challenge when I was first writing my own mysteries. I still like to figure out a way to include minions when I can, because I like having "easier" combat encounters as an option for my table. If your motivation behind wanting minions is to give more opportunities for combat, remember that you can have the monster leave without being defeated. Either because it doesn't consider the hunters to be a threat, or something in its motivation / the countdown means there's a more import goal at the moment.

Like others already explained, minions are absolutely not necessary. And they will be awkward if you force them.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that minions don't need to be physically dangerous supernatural creatures that attack the hunters. A regular human can unwittingly assist a monster by doing something relatively mundane, which would mechanically make them a minion. Maybe a scientist is dumping waste that is powering a mutated monster. Or a receptionist scheduling patients is unknowingly sending them off to their deaths.

For a new keeper there's no harm in prepping threats that you end up not needing. You're also not necessarily locking yourself into forcing all your prepped threats into the mystery as they are written on paper. The first time I ran MOTW I way over-prepped and it ended up being super useful for "playing to find out" because I was able to adapt my "extra" threats to unexpected things my players did.

And doesn't want to raise the minimum wage.

Honestly, go read the core book and come back and ask questions after. It is not a crunchy rulebook, and you can likely read through it entirely in one sitting if not two.

skratchx

And what kind of society does this lead to?

What kind of society do you have when gangs of looters get confronted by gangs of vigilantes and theft turns into a shootout?

"Mob theft" going unpunished is problematic. But turning it into a very violent public altercation isn't better.

Tattersail is a character I cared for even less after PtA...

They warship Ferner got me better.

There are huge cross sections of physics research that dovetail nicely into hands-on industry jobs that are not AI, data science, or software. A physics PhD in an experimental field will still set you up for job opportunities.

I'm rereading Gardens finally and I was flabbergasted how spelled out it was pretty early on.

skratchx

Crazy. This is still not fixed. Thought I was going crazy.

That's been so many BF titles. BF4 ended up a really great game, but it took years for it to get there.

There is no universally true statement except for giftcards. Many brewers don't have kegs and would have no use for them.

It was a new unit delivered by Lowes. My concern is I don't know how much they would push back on confirming there's something wrong vs hassle-free replacement.

I just started NG+ after not playing the game for a million years, and it is very overwhelming to try to stat out my 71 skill points. Thanks for putting this together.
