Elaida is skilled in political machinations. It came across to me like a power play. She had been prevented from a private audience previously, so now she has demonstrated she has enough influence to get in the room with the Amyrlin. She probably also wanted to gauge Siuan’s response to what she said and see if she could knock her off balance. The White Tower is full of intrigue and Elaida is showing she’s a force not to be trifled with.

Everything about this screams sexism. It doesn’t matter that your doc was female, she minimized your experience to your gender. If a guy walked in there would she have told him he’s having trouble adjusting to being a father? I would go to Vegas on the odds the answer is no.
Get angry. File a complaint with the clinic and the board. I would call and request to speak with whoever is in charge. I would list out very specifically that you brought past documentation, that the provider refused to look at it, and demonstrated bias and sexism. Write it out.
And then find someone who’s degree was actually worth the money. Sexism in the medical field runs rampant. “Adjusting to being a mom” is not a legitimate diagnosis in my book. That’s a lazy, sexist piece of BS. Even if it’s not ADHD, she had a professional duty to take your concerns seriously.

Per the wiki, a packet of ancient seeds in the deconstructor (via the walnut room) will yield an ancient seed artifact.

If it helps, you aren’t a weirdo. This sounds very normal for a teenager with raging hormones and a very serious disorder. You are trying to cope and doing so the only way you know how. In the absence of guidance, we find and latch onto anything that will help us gain some control.
Medication can help a lot. I’m not sure if you are taking any.
I would also recommend Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Prior to my diagnosis, I went to a reputable practice that specialized in DBT. The skills helped me a lot with learning effective coping skills and eventually I stopped self-harming and got better at managing my explosive temper. Once I was diagnosed and got medication, the skills I learned and practiced became even more effective. DBT was created by a woman who suffered from mental illness.
I would talk with your parents about at the very least getting you connected with a reputable DBT therapist. You can just say you are struggling and want some extra support to help you manage your ADHD. You can look up DBT skills but the program really can help.
The hardest thing I had to learn was that in the end, you can’t fix this on your own.

I took 0.5mg of mirapex for a long while and I cannot stress how much that medication sucks. It took me months to wean off of it. I recommend against it whenever it comes up. I have taken clonazepam and tbh it helped for a while and then stopped. Currently I take 400mg of gabapentin and as a woman in perimenopause I also am on HRT (I have noticed when my estrogen is lower, my RLS kicks in).

Same. I will hunt down every walnut… except those. I have done it and now I just pay the Joja bird. Worth it.

With iridium wool you get two bolts of cloth. Depending on profession (artisan), it still works to convert them.

There are so many people who work to train women to put up with this BS.
When I was in elementary school, a boy in my class with some developmental issues developed a fixation on me. He found me one day on the playground and bear hugged me (he was much larger than me). I was punching as hard as I could as an eight year old, screaming stop, I think I even tried to bite his shoulder or arm. He tried to kiss me but I kept my face away from him. Heck, my friends were even trying to get him to stop. I was sobbing when he finally let go and walked away. We found the recess teacher and she just minimized it and basically told us to go away and he just liked me and why couldn’t I be nice to him?
He kept bringing me little gifts and I felt so confused and sick every time we interacted. I felt guilty for throwing away his gifts but I also felt so scared and anxious about him. Eventually we moved and once I got older I realized the adults were wrong. This kid needed intervention but instead it was put on me to keep the peace.
I thankfully learned to find my voice but I’m in my 40s now and I still think of what all my friends learned that day.

Okay so two things: the Mirena actually triggered anxiety in me. My doc who put it in told me she had one other patient do the same. ETA: it would be a long complicated story but I only noticed it with my second Mirena. My anxiety dropped within a few weeks of the second one being removed. I think bc I was dealing with other anxiety inducing things before I didn’t realize the IUD was exacerbating it. I do not tolerate progesterone well at all.
The second thing is that at our age, our estrogen levels are starting to drop. Estrogen is crucial to dopamine production (and is why many women experience drops in efficacy during certain points in the month when estrogen is lowest). Something to consider is that it’s your body’s hormones beginning to shift. Perimenopause causes all sorts of issues. I found that getting on HRT and then finding a good dose of estradiol made my Vyvanse more effective.

First oMark is not a very put together person. How many questions did he ask Reghabi? This is a man who is avoidant and currently not clear headed (and hasn’t been for a long time).
Second, I think oMark genuinely thought iMark would just jump on board. He sees iMark as a version of him (and I would argue he is - but not the way oMark thinks).
Thirdly and ultimately I think bringing up Petey would have been the wrong move. Petey is dead. oMark is making poorly thought out choices and would be entirely unable to answer any questions. He doesn’t know anything about the woman drilling into his head. He got minimal information from Petey about reintegration. Like if you share a body with someone who wants you to trust them and you find out he having experimental brain surgery in his basement with a woman that, as far as he knows, has had one other patient who died… that doesn’t bode well.
Petey not being mentioned this season didn’t really bother me bc Mark, as I said, is avoidant. Petey died. To think about Petey is to start questioning his choices and he doesn’t want to do that.

With HRT I saw some relief within a few days though it takes up to two weeks to get the full effects so it doesn’t take too long. If you aren’t getting relief then the dosage is too low and/or there maybe other underlying issues (I also had low iron).

HRT will be a game changer. I’m 42 and take 2mg estradiol and 2.5 medroxy (since I still have a uterus). I had awful brain fog. We started at 0.5mg estradiol and my gynecologist just kept increasing until I got full relief. Her mindset is - if you’re taking HRT then we take what we need to get to normalcy.
My brain fog is gone and I’m in a much better state than I was a year ago. Estrogen is crucial to the wellbeing of the female body.

I am a hundred percent in agreement.

So I’m in my early 40s: I definitely think of most of them as being in their 20s. I think of Sam, Abigail, Alex, and Haley as being closer to 20. Emily, Sebastian, Penny, and Maru feel more like mid-20s. Leah, Elliot, and Shane feel like late 20s to early 30s (and I think of Shane as younger than Elliot and Leah). Harvey strikes me as the oldest probably mid-30s.
Clint seems more like late 20s maybe early 30s.
I don’t think of any of them as being teens but I have definitely seen that vibe.

I don’t think of Harvey as a creep. Almost every dialogue he has is medically oriented. I’ve gone up to 10 hearts with him and keep trying to get to marriage but Seb and Elliot keep pulling me in. I may try on my current farm. What puts me off is his medically heavy/worrying dialogue and his nervous demeanor but that’s more my personal tastes than anything. He seems like a genuinely friendly guy who cares about the town.

It’s the only cave I pay for walnuts. I’ll do all the others but screw it. Joja can send a lackey to do it.

Oh I forgot about that. But yeah they do go! I just wish there was more to them. I get there’s not really aging up viability but I wish I could have like a Jas/Vincent set up. Like they pet my chickens or something 😂

On my last two farms (which I got bored with) I found I think 8-10 seeds after about three years. My current farm just finished year 1 and I have only one 😂 But the witch came three times! So I have three void chickens in addition to the two that came with the meadowlands farm.

I did the ancient fruit wine empire my first farm (which I got perfection on). For my subsequent farms I am only allowed to plant the ancient seeds I naturally find.

That is absolute trash and should be criminal. What a frustrating set up.

As someone who has dealt with the mental health complex for way too long and was misdiagnosed with depression/anxiety… I have found the best way to approach the system is that I am struggling and I deserve to be treated with respect. In other words - if the clinician dismisses what I think it could be, then the follow up is “Okay, fine, give me your differential diagnosis for my symptoms, explain why you are dismissing each, and which one you think it is and lets create a treatment plan.”
And if you get some BS answer like “Exercise” push back - “I took time out of my day because I need help. I expect my concerns to be taken seriously. If you feel like this is beyond your scope of care, please provide me with a referral to a clinic or physician that can provide me with the care I need.”
If after that this person continues to fail at offering basic care, then it’s time to find someone else. I can accept my suspected diagnosis is wrong if the clinician is clearly working with me. Arguing with an ignorant clinician is a waste of time, every time. The medical community and the mental health complex in particular is stacked against women. Our hormones, our presentation, our entire gender is routinely ignored or under-studied.
So I look for clinicians who demonstrate care and thoughtfulness and who include me as an active participant. Even then I find moments of sexism (my current clinician is doing a great job in general but made a comment I may need to address next appointment).
Walk in there with like an eighth of the audacity of an old white dude being confirmed for a high level cabinet position he isn’t even remotely qualified for. He wouldn’t allow himself to be dismissed - so why should you?

Funny story, I have ADHD and a terrible memory. I’ve read the series three times. And when you mentioned Aviendha could channel I realized I had completely forgotten that major plot point and now that scene makes sense 😂 My brain makes it so the series is always new and fresh.
But in the show we haven’t gotten a lot of insight into Aviendha so I think it’ll be a surprise… much as this post was to me.

I have ADHD, have read the series three times, and there are things I have to look up every time that I think other fans easily remember. My memory is awful. The way I approach it is that the series is always exciting and fresh to me. I remember the general plot and some points and then add a little more on a reread. I just plod along and if I forget a character I either a) just keep going and don’t care or b) I risk the spoilers.
It’s not just about being suited. I remain baffled that kids who have almost zero knowledge of what they want to do as a career are just shuffled straight into universities. Going into the trades is a solid start and the more entrepreneurial minded can eventually turn it into a business. I was one of those kids with the right grades and twenty plus years ago they shuffled me off the college.
I had all this anxiety trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life while taking classes. I tried to talk to parents and other adults about wanting to take a break, figure stuff out, but I was basically told if I left I’d basically be failing at life. I wish someone had told me that I could have simply chosen something different.
My degree has pretty much been useless and I’m glad I got it via scholarship bc it definitely wouldn’t have been worth the actual cost.
