Yes, but this loss is likely mainly water. See how it goes for the next 3 to 6 weeks, and if you’re still losing more than 3lb per week, get a consult. You feel fine now, but long-term (like several months) of very fast loss can lead to gall bladder and heart issues, and can cause hair loss and saggy skin.

I’ve only been there once about 4 years ago, and I recognized it.

There’s someone who really appreciates yarn. You should ask if he wants to learn to spin, because he might like an excuse to play more with wool.

Right? I knew when I was getting married and taking my honeymoon more than 6 months in advance. And we had a relatively quick engagement of less than a year.

That Gotland fleece is beautiful. I’ve really enjoyed spinning Black Welsh Mountain, and my one spin of Gotland would probably have been much nicer if the braid hadn’t been so compacted (and I had tackled it after more experience spinning). Your prep looks so fluffy!

Yeah, couch it like a lance!
I wanted to make a joke about “First you pick them up at the airport, then you ask how the flight from Warsaw was, then you both get in the car and go.” A 6 foot Pole shouldn’t have any trouble riding in a Miata.
But the image of Miata jousting is even better!

It looks like Citrus Black.
Oops, actually I take that back, it’s not quite yellow-green enough.

The kitchen will be messy and waiting for you, but Halloween is just a week away. Work on the costume.

Technically it’s quite functional. It will hold liquids.
If you’re talking about easy to clean, or structurally solid, those are different concerns.

Those mighty pantaloons suggest to me it’s a Red-Tailed Hawk.
I love their fluffy britches.

Menlo Park, New Jersey changed its name to Edison.

The no sidewalks thing is Atherton, and it’s by design. I actually think it’s in the town charter. It discourages pedestrians and gives a more rural vibe (if rural = risking getting run over).
Menlo Park is sleepy and likes it that way. They are some of the most stubborn NIMBYs around. But they have some businesses that are still around after decades. The first Round Table Pizza, the second Peet’s Coffee location, Kepler’s Books, Cook’s Seafood, Draeger’s Grocery, the Guild Theater.
If I had enough money to live in Menlo Park, I’d move to Mountain View.

Her regular job pays 6 figures. What do you mean get a second job?

$300 per MONTH?
You really value yourself at $10 a day for your personal labor?
Girl, no. And he doesn’t even think you’re worth that much.
He’s with you because he thinks immigrant women are somehow more “traditional” and willing to take on household tasks without complaint. And they can’t be independent because they need to stay married in order to remain in the US, so they’ll put up with unfair treatment or outright abuse.
Maybe this man is different, but it doesn’t sound like it.
Do not break your contract. Do not move to be with him and be unemployed. Do not pay to live in his house. He brings you nothing.

You can like and even love people you’d never date. Your parents, your siblings, your friends, etc. Just because he’s a boy and she’s a girl you think she needs to “give him a chance”? Eww.
It’s clear she’s romantically repulsed by the idea of dating him. Even if he thinks she’s the greatest person in the world, he needs to find a way to show her that doesn’t give her the ick. This guy is as considerate as a pimple.

You need to be asking your own studio what they recommend. They will know what fires well in their kilns. If they are firing cone 10, you may have access to both oxidation and reduction firings, and your choice of glaze and/or underglaze may depend on which one your pieces go into.

Ah, I get it now.
Porcelain is a bit different, but not as intimidating as some people fear. As long as you’re willing to go slow and learn from the clay, you will adjust. I think heavily-grogged clays are harder to adjust to, and would take a class if one were offered specializing in like “How to get the most from Grog-zilla” or something.
My first instructor actually recommended mixing about 1/3 b-mix into the porcelain for beginners, as it gave the clay a little more of a forgiving character, but still came out porcelain-white after firing. But that studio used Coleman porcelain, which isn’t my favorite for being easy to throw.

You don’t need to take the class, but you’ll learn a lot and get help when you have trouble, instead of having to figure out everything for yourself.
Why wouldn’t you want to take the class?
small_spider_liker
Why not both? Braised ribs and mashed potatoes is food of the gods. Perfect meal would be this, followed by exactly the same thing but the brownie sundae version.
But don’t say either version is anything like that racist nasty dude.

Not so healthy nutria, but at first I thought it looked like a nutria-javelina hybrid.

Do you make notebooks using Iroful paper? How do you buy the paper? I really love an A6 size notebook, so I’ve been thinking about buying some loose sheets of A5 and binding signatures into a notebook.

Shhhhhh, we don’t ask that question. The answer is always “more than this”, anyway.

Same. I came here to comment “Pollen crown!”
I know there are a lot of factors that contribute to spring tides, but this tidal erosion is from a full moon, not even a new moon. Typically a new moon creates stronger tidal forces.
