You need to brute force your way and try multiple cups. I have seen 4 conflicting ml measurements for cup, 250ml, 200ml, 300ml, and 350ml. So once you find the cup she used to measure write down the ml volume of it in the recipe.

Those cliffs are where recent lava fields at Snæfellsnes meet the ocean. All after the last Ice age. That dike sticking out is the core of a cindercone vent thats been heavily eroded.

This is fiberous mordenite or erionite both zeolites. Both have similar health effects as asbestos.

But are very pretty in sunlight, especially when the fibers align like fur.

Last year is not representative of the average. Early febuary thawing and extremely warm may kicked all growing seasons a month forward compared to normal.

I would not trust any weather prediction beyond 2-4 days. Thats crazy talk to even be thinking of gettinga forecast that far out.

Spherulitic rhyolite.

This is basalt, i can even see some olivine crystals within, which are those small green bois.

Basalt always contain magnetite which is giving that strong metal detection signal.

  1. Folding of the rock layers. Looks similar to the syncline-anticline folding in Appalachia around Pennsylvania.

  2. China intentionally misaligns google maps, and similar foreign map services. Dont remember if it was a national security policy or another reason. Judging by the highway in photo 2 they probably move the road map a few hundred meters southeast compared to the sattelite photos.

Its a very simple spice blend. In order, its Salt, msg, onion powder, paprika powder, sugar. There are some other minor components but they are not a big part of the flavor. I like making my own with extra garlic powder.

Chalcopyrite can absolutely form as secondary mineralization in basalt.

Forgor to put locale info. Iceland.

Lead is a non issue from basalts the concentrations are stupidly low, cadmium is sometimes a risk but the amount needed for health risks is way higher than you would ever get from using it. Id say the texture of it is a bigger food safety risk than any metal leeching from the basalt as they can harbor bacteria if you clean it badly, and can loosen crystal grains easily maybe causing tooth damage.
