Haha.. My first thought after seeing that video was "I should print one of those..."

O O
sprashoo
really?

I wouldn't store it like that but on the workstand sure. But it will swing around and be annoying. Just clamp the dropper.

You can choke to death in a matter of minutes though..

New saddle bars and stem and send it.

The fact that they couldn’t even be bothered to put the sticker on straight is a tell

Okay, fair enough. That's a lot of riding.

To me it's just different. I do enjoy trails that are built for riding thrills, with berms, jumps, etc. It's a new challenge. Also I now live in a place that lacks natural mountains and wilderness so most MTB trails are built for the purpose of being MTB trails, packed into a limited area. I miss biking on trails that actually existed to get you from point A to point B up a mountain, but that's a different kind of fun.

Twice a year is "rarely"?

Yep. Nobody is going the trouble to make counterfeit 160mm Shimano 105 cranks.
I've bought all kinds of Shimano parts from eBay and Ali. The things to avoid are consumables - chains, brake pads, SPD cleats. These are faked because they're comparatively simple to manufacture, there's a small range of items, people aren't good at spotting the differences, they're not bling parts and are usually covered in dirt, and people are always buying these and looking for a bargain.
None of that applies to groupset type parts. There's no way faking these would be cost effective. About the most complex things I've seen faked are Wolf Tooth dropper post levers and King headsets, and these are obvious fakes that even the buyers usually know are fake (it's discussed openly in the product reviews), unlike the fake chains etc that are foisted on unsuspecting buyers.

I passed out before getting to the end of the first sentence

Right, but I assume OP is going to get their child treated with antibiotics regardless...

I mean, the quoting Picasso seems rather Steve Jobsian but nothing else about it really makes sense for Apple, unless it was some inside joke team shirt of something.

And then people ask why used mountain bikes fetch so little on Marketplace :D

I've been pretty happy with Zenni Optical prescription cycling glasses. They have a few models, some are similar to the Radars (kinda). If you're not happy they have a pretty painless return policy.

Yeah, i was one of them. You're ignoring my point about trail design changing since the 80's and 90's (fact is, back then, there basically weren't any MTB trails... people just rode wherever they could for the most part). Today dedicated trails built for mountain bikes are much more common, and they're designed for the bikes people are (generally) riding today, which are different from those of 30 years ago.
It's telling, at least to me, that in places where back in the 90's people were starting to build dedicated MTB trails, like on the North Shore in BC, that riding scene heavily influenced modern MTB design.

Not sure but Seattle only got a team a few years ago. For the previous 50 years the Canucks were the closest to a local team.

Death trap is an exaggeration but their geometry does make them less stable and modern trails tend to assume modern bikes, especially on descents. You're much more likely to go over the bars on an old bike than a modern one.
Look at OP's photo, how the handlebars are practically over the front axle. Compare to a modern bike, like https://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/all-mountain/sight/25-sight-C2-150-MX/

Oh shoot.. why not?
I guess imgur is an option

No. A gentleman cyclist only rides in plaid after luncheon.

The reason they’re hard to find (for MTB) is that hitting your shins is not normal if you have decent equipment and correct technique.
That said, for learning (i switched to flats after decades of clip in use) I used long socks and the cheapest soccer shin guards I could find (I think I paid about $3 on AliExpress). I used them for a bit until I got used to gripping the pedals with my feet. You need to learn when to drop your heels, or do the wedge, or press back. You just never want plain horizontal feet on anything where you’re leaving the ground.

Hah, was going to say the same thing. I've been to Newark. I refuse to believe that Winnipeg is worse. But he can hang out with his MAGA buddies now.
Not sure if I can upvote a neglectful torrent owner ;)
