They are going to make it crash on private, individual home owners. After the normal people are financially destroyed, there will be a "bailout" for the Private Equity firms to the tune of $10,000,000,000,000. It's a classic bubble pop with bailout, only nationwide instead of the test run in 2007. And this time, of course, we will be stealing from the people to give to China and Saudi Arabia instead of stealing from China to prop up the corporate psychopaths.
So real estate will crash, and everyone will be relieved until we see a loaf of bread costs $50 and a gallon of gas is… who knows? $25 (if you can find it)? But don't worry, the CEOs will be JUST FINE.
Homeless everywhere, and twenty million armed robots living in otherwise empty houses, while the "rich" abandon the nation. Classic capital flight.

You're doing it right.

It's very frustrating when a clever dial refuses to match to a specific value... You are trying to get to 111.94101 and it's jumping from 110.0000 to 114.96215 or something... because your mouse settings are different from the mouse settings the designer used. And it's super frustrating when a designer puts arbitrary limits on a value because they envisioned a very specific use case and you want to use it for something very different.

No.

Ah, I see. I hope you are able to find some help.

I suspect one of the side effects is vagueness?

They have nothing to offer.
By sending data, you are announcing in advanced that you will be a problem.
Don't bother. They have nothing to offer. Don't pay £600 to be told by someone to set your alarm and drink warm milk.

Yes. This is one of the bizarre things that people do because of misunderstandings about sleep. A lot of people seem to think that people do not need to sleep at all. This is the kind of thing that gets bandied about in the military. And then there are the "I only sleep two hours a night people." Those people... you always find out they get home from work and sleep from 6 PM to Midnight. And then they sleep from 4 to 6 am or something. They're getting eight hours sleep but they don't count "naps". But of course they aren't tracking anything. It's all just stupid bird song... things people say that aren't connected to reality.
These people believe that sleep deprivation is "tough"... They're martyrs. They're the same people who are work martyrs about everything else. They talk a HUGE game and then you see them sitting at their desk online shopping six hours a day...

Halloween is four weeks away, and your complaining about people not being in the Christmas spirit? And taking that as a sign that the city is dying?
This must be a joke.

It is a very weird thing about employers. They would much rather force a daywalker to work the night shift than hire a night owl that wants to. The best situation is when you know that they want someone for the night shift, and you get to act like you are reluctantly accepting the burden. The ultimate situation is when you can begrudgingly, "against your will" accept it, with a raise, of course. But normal people are very, very wary of people who want to work at night.

Thank God! New channels for bribery that will increase prices, profits, corruption, and do nothing to solve the underlying problem!
I guess I could try to hope for the best, but how would we even know where any of that money is going or what it is doing? I am sure they will have some great charts and graphs that will "prove" it's all going where it should.

It's usually California. Sometimes it's something like Guam. It will be some weird municipality somewhere. Sometimes it's something crazy like the county where the manufacturing plant is located passes some law. I followed the link and I couldn't find anything about where to mail anything. It seems like PR horseshit.
"We no longer offer the Recycle On Us program. Contact your local..."
So it was just PR horseshit.

No. Showing up on time, reliably, no questions asked, is the absolute minimum low bar for any kind of employment an employment specialist would be able to help with.
What people with N24 need is work that, while still having a deadline, can be de-synchronized from the rest of the workforce. They need work that can be done remotely, with clear deadlines, and a set piece rate in some measurable way. Something along the lines of: We need 100 widgets every Friday by 5 PM. Or we need this website to work by Tuesday at 3 PM. Clear defined goals, no interaction with other people except by email, text, no expectation that you will answer when called.
Employment specialists tend to work with people who have a set of clearly defined disabilities and they coordinate a network of large employers and organizations and governments that subsidize special classes of workers. This includes a subset of defined disabilities, parolees, and the generally extremely desperate.
All an employment specialist will tell someone with N24 is… I can't even imagine. Maybe they will suggest warm milk or something. Most sleep specialists have never heard of N24. The chances that an employment specialist will have heard of it, much less have some way of dealing with it is slim.
When you see paroled murderers working at a bakery 72 hours a week and only getting paid for 40? That's an "employee specialist" who helped with that arrangement. When you see mentally disabled people working as baggers at the grocery store as a threat to the unionized employees (You go on strike and we will replace you with subsidized slave labor at the drop of a pin), it was an employee specialist that set that up. They are basically a publicly subsidized HR department connecting undesirable employees to grunt work no one else wants.
Maybe you want to mow lawns at elementary schools, or dig ditches, or replace fluorescent tubes in a public works warehouse. Fine. But you will have to show up on time every day, no questions asked, no exceptions.

There must be a law somewhere saying that manufacturers who use Polypreptosaliglycoline-Septabarbomuthonole-9,3,2 have to attempt to recycle it for some reason.

All the treatments are bullshit.
They all consist of:
- Administer placebo
- Adhere to a rigid, unyielding schedule.
- SUCCESS!
- If it doesn't work, YOU failed step 2.
Which is roughly like saying:
- Administer placebo
- STOP HAVING CANCER.
- YES! YOU'RE HEALED.
- If it doesn't work, I GUESS YOU WANTED CANCER.

There is really no way to know. It depends on the device. The label means nothing, just like "organic" means nothing. Regulations are made and then gutted by the corporations. They fight over influencing the regulators and use the regulators and the regulations and definitions of concepts like "sustainable" to put their competition out of business. So, buying a "sustainable" washing machine, for instance, and then replacing it every three years because it's mechanical garbage and unrepairable (and likely built to break), is not better than buying an old machine with a stock of spare parts, if it's built to last and be repaired.
They've been speeding up planned obsolescence since COVID when the government basically stopped regulating everything. And the labels mean next to nothing. If you buy a refrigerator and it uses 1% less energy, it doesn't make a difference if you have to replace the thing every three years as opposed to twenty.

All there is is... light boxes, blackout curtains, exercise, relaxation, and entrainment.
All the drugs, including caffeine, and nicotine, and all of that submit to homeostasis. Meaning your body adjusts. They may "seem" to work, then you get dependent (your body fights them to get to the state it wants to get to), then you either get addicted, or you just keep upping the dosage...
Fighting whatever your up against with drugs won't work.

Worrying about N24 when you have an opiate addiction is like worrying about a mosquito bite when you are full of bullet holes.
I am in no way questioning whether or not you have tried hard enough. I have no doubt you have tried. But you have to try again. While you are an addict, there is no possibility of making progress that will not be undone. There is never a good time to get off of opiates. So it might as well be right now. I am sorry this happened to you. No one deserves the crushing, destructive curse of opiate addiction. I wish you all the best.

It's a banana, Michael. How much could it cost? Ten dollars?
Do you have access to a piece of paper and a pen or a pencil?
