The game has decent difficulty scaling, meaning you can go from a walk in the park to crazy.
squirreleater1330
Still here. Makes no difference what level you go to the Dlc, it steps up the difficulty and uses items found to 'level you up'. 120 is ok if it's an optimised build, but a higher level will give you better options to create a stronger build. 60 vigor is a must!

Yes, this is much better than easily clearing a fort and finding lots of items, doing the crucible knights or banished knights or looking at the three field bosses to the north of the castle...🤷
squirreleater1330
Or, you're looking at something else while walking forwards and walk off the side of the path! Respawn at the grace and the fuckwit recluse force starts the nightlord before you can get your runes back!

It was bloody great at the time, the highest profile "metal" has ever been... by a long long way. It was in the radio, TV, media, everywhere... Yes, load of it was rubbish, but there's also a lot that was great.
You can't judge it by the few videos that kick around nowadays, it was about 35/40 years ago, times and music change.

I'm in deep 3 and I'm honest enough to admit it's my skill ceiling. I play with decent friends on voice and I'm simply not quite good enough to progress or want to progress higher.
squirreleater1330
Charged heavies with bigish weapons knock him out of it. Ashes of war that do stance damage will, square off, lions claw, unsheath etc
squirreleater1330
Because often it's not convenient to visit it, so rather than miss it entirely they will make a point to go there. Often players will save runes just to visit it once. Shards, fire bombs, talisman, weapons with buffs (skill etc) , smithing 2 are all reasons to visit.
squirreleater1330
Days gone.
squirreleater1330
Yeah, they are excellent.
squirreleater1330
Double balancers, check merchants/chests for skill buffs, rivers of blood-win.

The tarnished edition dlc appears to be very little for the money and honestly, feels like it should be free. I hope I wrong and there's a new area or two with new bosses..... Then it'll be worth paying for.
Nightreign it's effectively a game that requires new content to keep it's playerbase. Most nightreign regulars I know would happily fork out a tenner for some new content.
squirreleater1330
Of course
squirreleater1330
If they can't work out you're getting your runes (or grabbing a rise etc) then they are idiots. Players can have many reasons to leave the group. It's not you.
squirreleater1330
I get matched fine on PS, time of day makes a difference, mornings here (UK) are quiet, evenings much busier/faster
squirreleater1330
I hate it, as do all my online friends. A game that's fast paced and requires you to run from A to B as fast as possible shouldn't be confusing to navigate with dead ends and drops of the map.
squirreleater1330
Honestly, it's tough to start, but learning the maps, creating builds, understanding the weapons and buffs, understanding that Elden ring weapons don't work on characters like they do in nightreign (eg, an intelligence weapon doesn't work best with recluse, but with the character who specialises in that class of weapon) Working with team mates, it all takes time... But when it clicks it becomes stupidly addictive.
squirreleater1330
These are simply good practice for the game, any experienced player should be doing this. You're correct of course, but you've described the basics.
squirreleater1330
Rarely wait more than 30 seconds/one minute
squirreleater1330
Claymore poke attack is superb, especially as it does more damage and can be buffed(thrust attack) the only greatsword moveset that is arguably better is the knight/banished knights/inseparable sword.
So claymore, all day long.
squirreleater1330
Just use a magic weapon and/or a normal weapon and make it magic or cold.
Dark moon greatsword.
Wing of astel.
Deaths poker.
Claymans harpoon with cold ice spear.
squirreleater1330
If you've optimised your stats, then 100-150 is fine. Stats all over the place and you'll need 200+.
115 is rather high for volcano manor as that's just about in the first half difficulty wise.
For you, 50+ (max 60) vigor. 54 strength for melee and two hand the weapon. Some endurance for decent armour and stamina. Then pump Dex.
Weapons level is important, stats are a bit meaningless if you weapon is low level.
As a rule, your weapon should be around the level of the smithing bell bearing that you can get in the areas you've reached.
squirreleater1330
Maybe you've been hoarding weapons or talisman that you should have shared?
Maybe you did your own thing?
Maybe you didn't revive teammates when you could have?
Maybe you used a rubbish weapon and did no damage/help?
Maybe they are idiots?
squirreleater1330
Google scudatree fragments, grab a load early on and the doc becomes much more manageable. It's a bit shit as the difficulty is very dependent on finding them.
Arrowhead are Swedish and it's 11am there now, so logically it'll drop any time soon, in the middle of their working day.
