Oh boo I really like their tacos

“YIMBY” is your corporate landlord getting free advertising out of you while they raise your rent again.

I have yet to identify a purpose for tick tock and have never used it.  Plus it’s always been a clear tool of the PRC.  When it’s been shown to me by others I can’t figure out why they want me to use it 🤷‍♀️

I really just use reddit and would be fine walking away from it too

Natracare no applicator for me.  I completely agree about tampax - they’re just wrong!

I see the signs around Berkeley and Oakland but I’ve assumed they’re leftovers and no one has asked for masking in well over a year in my experiences.

srslyeffedmind

I’ve usually seen this in situations where lanes were removed for some reason or there are lane campers impeding the flow.  Usually assume it’s some form of protest of either situation.

Berkeley has decades of industry that are not related to the university and aren’t found in either Albany or Kensington.  If this is a surprise you don’t know the area well.  The university is why Berkeley is known but it’s not all it is.

Popularity in LA hasn’t always translated to popularity in northern CA.  And vice versa.  Long legacy of differing cultures.

Sauté some onions and garlic in the butter.  Stir in kielbasa, fresh spinach, and shredded cheddar to further enhance.

But I don’t want it.  I don’t want quantity.  I want 1 roll of quality and to not feel like I’ve eaten too much 🤷‍♀️

srslyeffedmind

I usually just order 1 roll at a nice place.  I actively avoid ayce restaurants at all costs and across all types of food because they just don’t deal in quality.

The city has always been way more than the university and still is.  I say this as a long term resident who is an alumni.  The biggest impact I’ve seen is people who have no interest in community flooding the area but that isn’t unique to Berkeley.  They shouldn’t be heeded as important because they aren’t here for long.

Native and rarely feel small ones tbh - the posts here are usually the only notice I get that the little trembles happened!

srslyeffedmind

Ridiculous.  So much pollen after so much rain.

srslyeffedmind

Well there is the train museum, the Capitol building, the Crocker museum, and sutter fort.  1 night, 2 days to see it all.  Sacramento isn’t much of a destination really imo

srslyeffedmind

Lovely!

Haven’t received the stickers despite paying and completing smog months ago.  Don’t feel like calling them or going in to stand in line

I dislike when smaller streets absorb all the traffic that is pushed off the bigger roads.  It’s always the smaller purely residential streets that absorb the adjustment making life more dangerous there.  Cara zooming through stop signs and zipping down roads where kids play and people walk isn’t the solution.

srslyeffedmind

I mean it’s a long shot but it just seems like a great way to summit demons inadvertently or something (/s)

srslyeffedmind

Absolutely.  The risk of lawsuit if someone gets injured on your property would result in costs higher than that.

Chanting is usually not what I want in class.  I don’t want to be instructed to say words by someone who can’t say the words they instruct.

srslyeffedmind

I get that bottom line is you have no way of knowing how reasonable your neighbors are and using property management or PD is safer for you.

If a teacher or a studio have a style I’m not into I move on to a different one.  Yoga is a philosophical path of 8 limbs with the movements being just one of the limbs so the likelihood of finding references to this are high.  I’m ok with going to the more fitness classes that don’t have much of that at times.  At other times I want more of the philosophy and seek that from different places.

Basically you can and should find classes and teachers that work for you.  I shop around and so should you.

The residents in houses designed before cars which have no parking options other than at the curb will never agree to the removal of the parking they rely on.  MLK is too busy a street to handle like Fulton or other spots where that’s happened.

The tracks are private and owned by the train company running the freight.  An element to consider when moving into an industrial zone
