I think it’s somewhat generational for my mom and her peers.  It’s so strange since my grandmothers and their friends were more about learning the polished art of malicious compliance and scathing retorts while demanding and never settling for less than what was due (at work or in relationships).  

I’ve had more concerning moments with other women than I care to repeat.  I don’t consider “woman” to equal safer.  

It’s been a woman who grabbed my ass repeatedly a few months back.  She did it to the woman on the aisle as well.  We reported her but nothing was done.  

Women are equally shitty to sit next to in my experience.  Seatmate quality is not determined by gender - it was a woman who tried to steal my phone while I was cat napping and both men and women alike have difficulty staying within the edges of their seat in my experience as a woman.  

A but also people who moved here 3 years ago saying they’re “from” here.  No you’re not.  You moved here and live here but you’re not from here.  

Do you mean fake meat options?  I’ve never been to a Mediterranean restaurant without traditional vegan options available.  

They can change or cancel your flight with that info.  I would just leave them with no reply and let it be.  If they escalate ask why they want that info?  If you choose to share something share flight number and arrival day/time.  Nothing more.

Unless your manager or supervisor you do nothing.  If you’re not tell them and if nothing happens tell HR - most businesses have a no politics in the workplace policy (regardless of what those politics are).  If you are manager or supervisor consult HR and proceed from there.  

Iirc the fine print indicates you don’t get to actually keep the dream home (but that may have been a different contest) so I’ll take the cash as a down payment 

You can definitely be hired however my experience has been that companies regret out of state HR hires in CA and their time here is short lived.  Lack of experience with CA laws regularly ends up costing the company money.

Best practice as I’ve been taught in the past 20 years is to always recap meetings in emails.  Whether a 1:1 or a team or an all staff.   I’ve done this following 1:1 for close to 2 decades as a manager

No reason to reveal info to someone who seems weird.  I find it to be helpful when things like that are said.  They’ve revealed more about themself than anything else.

I make less than you and manage to travel, eat well, max multiple retirement paths, and live life with no second job.   Similar age.  Different career path.  Might be worthwhile to reassess your budget.

The lots ok there.  But really if you’re meeting for a sale there is a safe meeting place just 5 min down the road on amador at Georgia at the police station.

Moving in next to noisy places like industrial zones, train crossings, or entertainment venues comes with noise.  

The company provided insurance is unlikely to have much of any coverage for anything other than emergency services.  Taxes will be a massive problem.  The company is unlikely to be authorized to do business in the state which will run them into problems.  This isn’t going to go well.  

There are so few elevator inspectors in the state that the permits are perpetually out of date.
