Yea this sounds more like codependency/enmeshment than introversion

Picante Taco in Little Italy. Get a Mexican Coke.

I recommend you check out everything before Darjeeling. Especially Rushmore, although Life Aquatic is my favorite. Many folks love Tenenbaums, although it's pretty dark.

Have you used SWBST?

How long is a 7:30 headline show if there's another at 9:45? Thanks! (Asking about Bo Johnson for today but also have tickets for Modest Mouse at Pier 6)

Bringing Out the Dead is over three nights and I think severely underrated from his catalogue.

Something Wicked This Way Comes... 80s Disney adaptation of a spooky Ray Bradbury book. Great book, great movie. (A spooky circus comes to town...)

I'm a guy. In 2002/3 I heard that a couple of guys in one of the frats at the college I was at had SAd a female student while she was drunk and video'd it. The fallout (which was all through the grapevine, nothing public or official) was that everyone in the frat's laptops got searched (nothing found), the frat was suspended (they simply went "underground"), aaaand the victim withdrew. This was very hush hush, not widely known at all.

I bet this is widespread af.

Quitting teaching to sub instead sounds like trading a shit sandwich for a shit club sandwich.

This is a strange take. The building blocks of reading start when the child is born. Kids tend to learn letters and letter sounds in pre-k, if available, and strengthen that and begin learning c-v-c words in Kindergarten.

At 8 years old is when there is a major shift in curriculum from "learning to read" to "reading to learn". Kids that are not at grade level in 2nd grade need immediate explicit, systematic intervention so they don't fall behind in all subjects.

I recommend looking into "the science of reading" and maybe checking out the podcast "sold a story".

In my district, it's against the policy of the joint committee between the schools and the local health department to take away recess as a punishment. Does it still happen? Yup.

We got energy and explosive plays but they are straight up running a clinic on us

I wouldn't teach longer "literary" short stories in a required high school ELA class. Get some good genre stuff, like Bradbury and Vonnegut. Pair them with multimedia versions of the stories for comparison and differentiation.

Anyone have an extra they don't want?

It's the same as waving those pool noodle things which has been tradition for decades, not to mention for football field goals/extra point kicks as well. The away team expects it, and nothing will change it.

Thank goodness for that run at the end of the half. 3rd quarter needs to be the opposite of Sunday's.
