That's correct. I particularly like the Gtechinq WM2 mitts. I think your plan is solid.

Hannelore's face in the 4th panel should be the subreddit avatar.
Checking for edits in the evening has been a nice replacement for checking the main comic in the morning. It's a nice way to wrap up the day.

Correct. However, I still prefer the fuzzier mitts over the chenille ones, but what really matters is keeping debris off whatever mitt you use. The fuzzier ones probably aren't worth the price difference, I just like the way they feel as I wash the car.

I would add that how sunny/cloudy/windy it is should figure into the 120 rule, too. Fishing on 58°F water with a 35°F air temperature on a cloudy or windy day feels very different than when it's calm and sunny, and it's harder to get warm again on a windy and cloudy day.

Without knowing what the detailer tried, I would hit those areas with a bug and tar remover during your next wash. If that doesn't work, I'd hit those areas with a water spot remover. Be sure to do those steps in the shade on a cool panel. As a last resort, I'd use a cleaner wax.
To help prevent this in the future, I'd put a good wax, sealant, or coating on it if it doesn't have one already. Then, when it rains, use a leaf blower to blow the water out of those areas. Hopefully, that'll cut down on future stains. I do this with the areas under the door handles and mirrors on my truck, and it helps it look clean longer.

Keep an eye out for rack parts on eBay and Marketplace. If you can find the load bars cheap, buying the feet at full price doesn't hurt as much. That what I did when I bought the rack for my father's car.

I approve of the punchline.
Flipping through the recent strips, Anh appears to be teleporting all over the place.

For me, Cerakote looked like crap after about 18 months. It got weird white patches that looked like they were under the coat as if the coating was separating or something. I cleaned the crap out of the trim before applyinf, too. At first, it only happened to the horizontal parts on the roof, bit now it's showing up on the bumper, too. It's going to be a pain to fix. I wouldn't trust it on trim around the windows that gets blasted by the sun all day long, especially on new trim that hasn't finished outgassing.

I've watched a couple of her videos, but I'll have to check out the interior ones. Thanks for the tip!

If possible, I think I would have those trim pieces wrapped in a gloss black or gray PPF if it was my car and wouldn't look too weird. A self-healing PPF is nice to have in that area because people always shut the door using that area rather than the door handles. Any scratches would go away after a day or two in the sun.

I like Larry Kosilla's Ammo NYC YouTube channel. His early videos of provide instructions based on how much equipment you have. He generally uses his brand of chemicals, but he often used Meguiar's compound and polish. He would also often point out that you could use the same techniques with the chemicals of your choice.
I also learned a lot from the old Autogeek forum.

I picked up a Kokatat semi-dry suit on sale, too. I think it was around $325. The neoprene neck holds up pretty well to water intrusion, at least when I was practicing self-recovery. Some water did get in, so that would be the end of my day if it was winter. I can't imagine wanting to continue to fish after falling in anyway.

That's a little one? Man, I wish we had trout like that by me. Nice work! I love a Countdown.

I like Skitterwalks as well. I bought a Sammy when they were all the rage and never had much luck with it. I reach for the Skitterwalk, Spook Boyo, or Spook Jr. instead.

Fingerless ragg wool gloves are my go-to. I even wear them in the winter when I'm fishing.

I have good luck with stockers in ponds using black and gold 1/8oz Panther Martins, white rooster tails, fire tiger spinners, and Rapala Countdowns CD5s. You'll have to experiment with retrieve speed. Some days, they want it super slow. Other days, they want it faster or with occasional twitches.

Following because I'd like to know, too. Got bitten by the BFS bug.

Some of my glass towels do this on the outside glass, and I havent figured out which ones. I've successfully used the wrinkle weave towels to clean it up. I clean the glass with the wrinkle side, then I keep going over it with the smooth side until I get the remaining fibers. It was so bad that I'm thinking of switching to a squeegee for the last step.
I'm also wondering if claying or polishing the glass would help. Maybe there are embedded contaminants that are catching on the towel and causing the lint.

I haven't used those AIOs, but the ones I have used (Blackfire One Step and Meguiar's D166) left me underwhelmed. They didn't finish that great, and the protection didn't last that long. For my 2 cents, I don't think you're saving that much time using an AIO. The biggest time commitments are the compounding and polishing. The only steps you're saving are the panel wipe and application of the LSP. If you use a spray coating, it'll only add another 30 minutes to the process.
That said, when I corrected my car, I used Can Coat instead of a longer lasting coating, and I regretted that. It was a lot of work for only 18 months of protection. However, if you don't have a place to let a coating cure, Can Coat or another spray coating isn't a bad way to go.

Very cool. Thanks for the tip!

Interesting. That's good to know. I feel like the lone weirdo that doesn't like what is probably a solid product.
stochasticdadjokes
Thanks! I've been trying to resist the pull of BFS since I have ultralight spinning gear, but I've been really enjoying the few baitcasters I have lately.

What are you targeting?
Z-Man paddle tails catch a lot of species and are my go-to. I like the Trout Tricks, but the Diezel Minnows are great, too. I also keep a popper and a Spook or Skitterwalk on hand. Spoons are also handy when bluefish and Spanish mackerel are around.

What rod works well with trout magnets and this reel?
I wash all my mitts and drying towels together and never had any problems. They don't stick together for me.
