Jellyfin is fine on the DH4300plus.
The biggest thing that people ask about is hardware transcoding, most recommend an intel cpu for this, but Jellyfin does support the Rockchip cpu in the DH4300plus uses.
Worth noting that if you don’t like Jellyfin and want to use Plex then you won’t have hardware decoding as they don’t support Rockchip, but do support intel.

What I’m more interested in is how long they will support the discontinued hardware for.

Where’s the UniFi stack? :)

Dell and HP have their respective free cloud services that can manage and deploy BIOS updates. HP connect etc. They both work well. You can also just use specific client side tooling Dell Command Update and ingest the ADMX and automate it. Lenovo does the same with their Commercial Vantage app, then HP has image assistant.
Given how buggy modern CPUs are and how often BIOSs are updated it’s well worth updating on a semi regular basis. I’ve used a combination of all the above tooling over the last 5 years on a fleet of 5000+ machines and never had any major issues.

How heavy is your configuration? Intune works but as soon as you need to do some proper heavy work it falls to bits. Like others have said, setup Intune first since you’re already using it and have a go, see how it behaves.

Silver, only because it hides the small scratches over time.

I don’t even think I’d quote for it. I reckon you could sink a good 300-400hrs in to it. That’s not so much the issue. It’s the fact that this is all new to them, they will be endlessly asking for small changes afterwards or how to do things. All which they expect to be part of the price.

Yes. If he’s technically minded you can also buy a kit where you build the car.

Some high end retail stores, look at places like Bicester Village. Places where single transactions can cost upwards of £1k. In some (not many) of those stores they have contactless disabled. However, they also have some funky card readers that handle Chinese and Russian payment cards.

When I fuck up my deck doing something stupid and not reading all the well documented directions first of all.

Same. Worked out with friends that are both on just under £50k each they are over £400 a month better off.

As has been pointed out, this isn’t an outdoor rated product. Also, 50Mbps isn’t bad for this type of device you won’t see much more on 5G

It’s worth asking the question. Typically all designers live in products like Adobe Illustrator, some use 3D tools like Browzwear Vstitcher or Blender. A MacBook even the Neo is always going to be a safer bet. If budget is super tight, maybe a second hand Mabook Pro M1/M2 Pro. They are still solid.

Have you asked the Uni? Most have required and recommended equipment lists. Especially for IT equipment.
From experience in this area (I work in IT for a fashion company), neither an iPad or a Neo would be suitable. Typically wed run Macbook Pro 16, however you could prob get away with an Air.

Not surprised. All our senior engineers and client compute team use macs with CloudPCs for any windows specific crap.

Make sure to look at v4.1 that’s the current branch. The link above references the old 3.x version.
strikesbac
Even more odd, the Mac client is significantly better than the Windows version, in fact that seems to be the case with most MS apps.

Might be a lesson here? ;)

I do a lot of testing and messing around so reasonably often, it so fast to wipe and reset a system these days it easy. That’s not normal though, most users will only do this when selling a device.

Exactly this.
Weirdly enough, I prefer my M2 Air, I found that it didn’t get as hot as the M3. M2 was warm, M3 could get toasty.

What a weird question.

I’m not sure why you would have been told that, double sockets are just as safe as single sockets. Often a sparky will have a fixed rate for a new socket, so a single costs the same as a double, just means you get charged more for 5 singles, rather than two doubles and a single.
Core subjects are a must, English, Maths and Science.
I’d suggest face to face and online. Lots of kids in the area come in from surrounding villages and 5 mile drive can take 25minutes drive.
No idea re the rate, it’s something that we’ve looked at (parents of a child in yr 11). Have a look at other tutor services online and see what they charge?
