from the CRO side the changes that move full price conversion are usually the boring ones right next to the price like shipping cost and delivery date visible before checkout, returns and real reviews with photos. a lot of people wait for a sale because something about the purchase feels risky so taking that risk away does part of what the discount was doing!

google actually documents doing it thru a gtm custom html tag so its supported, the 2 things they flag tho: pull the values out of the page with gtm variables instead of typing them into the tag (otherwise the schema and the page drift apart) and if any of it is product markup their own line is that dynamically generated markup can make shopping crawls less frequent and less reliable which on an ecom site is exactly the price and stock stuff you dont want going stale. so i'd keep product schema in the source and let gtm carry the rest

Pinchflat is quite close to what you described i think, you can subscribe to channels and it keeps pulling new stuff. tube archivist adds a proper web library with full text search across subtitles and comments. ytdl-sub if you want it feeding plex or jellyfin, tubesync if you want it acting like a pvr

If i understand it right, theres an extension for this already "videos/images dark mode" on the chrome store. its specifically for video with black text on a white bg which is the case normal dark mode extensions cant handle because they only touch the page not the video. turn off the lights does a softer version if full inversion looks wrong

I was looking for the same thing and couldnt find one either so i started building it lol, turns out theres a real reason none of them do it.

Apple's screen time api wont let you schedule anything shorter than 15 mins, it just throws an error so every blocker ships those 15/30/60 buttons because they think thats the floor but the limit is on how long the window lasts, not how far ahead it starts. so you can schedule one that opens exactly when you want the block back and it fires right then, like any length you want

Here is a opensource github repo if youre curious: just look up recess-screentime :)

This has bugged me enough too that i just built it lol but not for safari tho.

It uses the browsers real side panel so it stays docked while u switch tabs and browse around. U can type a task, drag to reorder and theres an "add this page button" that saves whatever youre looking at as a task that links back. all local, no account or sync.

Bad news is that safari runs extensions now but it has no side panel api at all so theres literally nothing to dock into so its chrome and edge only. couldnt find a way around it and i did look..

anyway its free and open source, its not on the web store so you load it unpacked in developer mode (takes like 30 seconds): https://github.com/margin-panel/margin

If anyone knows a safari workaround im missing id genuinely like to hear it!!
