I think (or maybe I'm really hoping?) that the person you replied to was being facetious, and fully recognizes the absurdity of that logic.

I'm still learning myself, but I found this to be an interesting problem. So here's my quick take on it. I doubt if this is the best way to do it but should be able to get you what you need into the slicer.

I did a revolve like you would separate parts for the shade and the body, and then I projected curves from a horizontal sketch from above, filled those curves in in as surfaces, and then thickened those surfaces into new parts and then Boolean subtracted them from the shade (keeping the parts)

I also think one part of it is cultural differences in our interpretations of humility, and "soft-spokenness". And I think we Americans conflate shyness with a lack of confidence. I think with all her years of hard-work and experience performing, she was already very confident and capable, but we're used to confident and capable people also often presenting themselves as arrogant and aloof. So when we first saw her introduction for the audition, we (myself included) assumed she wasn't confident.

Also another of the "deliberate" part of that seeming progression is from AGT's editing. The way you see things play out on the show is not how it played out in the moment, and they try to tell a story. They really love to lean into these kinds of "story arcs" (and it really does play well on TV) so I think they amplified any such aspects in their editing.

If they slap and you flip them off then they punch you and you flip them off again, then they kick you and you flip them off again.... That's clearly two people being dumb and continuing the fight, with one being much more aggressive and the other just continuing to feed the aggression. Flipping them off "or laying on the horn" does not make them go away, not does it "defeat them" or hurt them in any way. All it does is sustain your abuse. And it's stupid.

You need to just remove yourself from the situation or de-escalate it as best as possible.

I've been an EV enthusiast longer than Tesla has been a company. We're on our 3rd and 4th Teslas. They've been great cars. But I can't wait to be rid of them as soon as it's financially feasible. I think it's foolish to try to separate a CEO from the companies they run.. especially if they are "the founder" [sic] and have spent more than HALF A BILLION dollars on political campaigns in just one country, and are actively promoting and powering a resurgence of a supermist nationalist party in another country (one that already had the scariest example of it just within the last century).

Like I said, they have been great cars, but they are not the only great EVs available now. Sure there are things about them I will miss, but there are also things that some of the other cars have that Tesla can't or won't ever have. Just like any "boycott", any individual's abstinence is vanishingly insignificant, but the hope is that enough people vote for their actual self interest, and the interest of their country, and of the world, rather than short term fanboy self service.

*as long as the part is not too complex to be thicken-able to the thickness your want.. in which case you might firsthave to make a copy and simplify some of the ridges and protrusions, etc using other functions like remove face, negative extrude or thicken, or lofts as appropriate.

Well, to be fair, with the right filament, combined with printing some multi part molds for silicone epoxy, you might be able to make make something at least usable.

Yes, collective "punishment" is great in all directions right? Wonderful to paint everyone who drives a certain kind of vehicle with the same, broad brush.

Also coming from an A1 mini.. and yes, it's much much louder. I used to not have to worry about printing late at night, but now I have to avoid it, unless there's some white noise covering it.

Tried a "storage bin top hat" , which quieted it a LOT, and got the worst clogs I've even gotten in anything. Can't wait for my official top cover to ship (I'm a night owl)
