but why are you defying your trans gender??!?

I'd made us trans so we help them to get nuance into our fellow human's understanding of gender, of what's truly nature and what's societal fabrication, oppression.

we have a purpose in our tans-ness.

why do you want to defy that? I don't get it.

ah, ooooh! you meant to "defy" the assigned at birth one, not the G'd given real one!?

then you got me confused

which is it?

susanne-o

uff.

nimm mein hochwähl und geh.

this is very good for an entry level position in Germany, even Munich.

also, companies of this size have a very clear understanding of the salary market and make highly competitive offerings: they've spent significant time with you (and all the candidates they did not take), and they hire for longer term. if and when you'll leave you will not leave because the salary was subpar. to the opposite, it will grow as you grow, and it will be very hard for you to find jobs in that ballpark elsewhere, except for other FAANG-whatever-the-acronym-of-the-day-for--outstanding-tech-companies.

unless you have competing offers from other top tech companies: go in, and have fun!

it's a very poetic deeply philosophical word in good standing:

"Schmuckzeug" ist nicht im Duden. ornament or jewelry is just "Schmuck",

just sayin'...

all others examples are fine.

susanne-o

and the word "Schmuckzeug" in the list of -zeug is the only one not in the dictionary.

Schlaaangweilig!

sorry.

when Iob was a good person and their life sucked, the narrated "rationale" is odd the key point though is clear: Iob's conduct was not the cause.

and JC was really good, and still at the end JC's life sucked, cross and all.

and so many martyrs were good and let me tell you, their life's sucked...

John of the Cross was incarcerated for supporting Therese of Avila, he wrote about the suck-y mess of that .

you might come to think that "sucking" is part of life and unrelated to who you are.

that Buddha guy came to the same conclusion phrasing it as "four noble truths", and offering the "eightfold path"

and funny enough, JCs teaching maps nicely onto it, adding one dimension: the insight that G'd can be experienced as a Person, and here is the kicker: as a person who's inexplicably carrying us through everything even though he's not magically doing anything.

and the one thing that has the power to keep us together is a comfort from that presence which is with us . and the Q is not "where are you?" here, duh, where else would an omnipresent I'd be... it's let me feel you, help me not forget you're here, with me.

I've come to believe that the love that loved us into live has a longing for us to that end. they made us to their image and liking, how could they not be smitten by us, tens and queer and all?

it's weird that in church rarely do they talk about that. talk about laws, words word words but don't teach how to love. and love has no words...

which leads us into silent prayer, contemplation.

sitting, walking, breathing in the presence of that which loved us and breathed us into life, ruach, the breath of life itself...

aus der Schleife -- ich bitte freundlich um Kontext :-) ?

susanne-o

what specifically do you find interesting?

our church murdered humans by incinerating them alive, in perfect alignment with "faith, teaching, doctrine" whathaveyou. and figured: oopsie, stupid idea.

if you back then in a CatholicWitches subreddit dared to suggest "uh, don't do that. big mistake. them witches are good, actually", mumbling historic critical under your breath, with which connotation would you respond "A very interesting thing to post in a subreddit supposedly Catholic"?

susanne-o

the bible doesn't interpret zilch, the reader does ;-)

on a more serious note:

the little collection we call "The Bible" is a carefully selected subset of books from a group of people in the middle east reflecting on their existential history and how their take on life and it's origin and purpose evolved over several thousand years, alongside the journey of the folk who created said collection.

and most interestingly to me, and on topic, the collection in early texts introduces long lists of fixed rules and in the final texts overthrows quite many of them --- but that's not the point: "here are your new rules!"

the point is: how can we evolve the rules from here? how can we know what's right and what's wrong if the rules don't cover it?

e.g. how about nuclear energy? internal combustion engines?

how about Trans Medical Care?

and the answer to that is in looking at "the fruit", and living "in christ"

what harm is done with Trans Medical Care? none. what are the benefits? to many to count.

and is it right for me? pray about it. try it. does it bring you inner peace, sustainably? go for it...

"discernment in prayer" is what gives you and answer to your Q, not logical intellectual interpretation and cross-referencing of an interpretative translation of an interpretative edition of a much larger corpus of candidate texts. did I mention Jesus spoke Aramaic? not greek. Aramaic. all of that is lost... anyhow.

susanne-o

the authority is above the church. the chruch has inflicted much pain on humans we today venerate, as saints even (John of the Cross, Theresa of Avila, Jeanne d'Arc, so many women (and men) died or in later times were ostracized because they said: church, authority, you're wrong)

these humans drew their strength from discernment in prayer.

if what you do bears sustainably good fruit, it's good. two women in love marrying and having a family together, raising children? or two men? that's good fruit. so the teaching that hallucinates this to be "evil" or whathaveyou must be wrong.

simples.

oh and the eucharist is not given by the church either. it's Christ who invites you into communion.

I wish you courage :-)

some consider for fact that Kölsch is not a beer ;-)

susanne-o

umm somewhere the JC guy is talking about "the heaven" being here and now, as if we'd "just" need to learn to see, so we are in him like he is in "the father" (old lingo) so we are in them like JC is one with them already.

if that is true (and Christian mystics would say it is just go and see) then for christ sake go and live your life as if because you making it real makes it real.

know what I mean?

in other words see to die into Christ and into who you really are and know to be before you die. don't waste any time.

do it. surrender to who you are.

susanne-o

if what your partner treasures most is marriage before G'd then know that the marriage is the covenant of the two humans accepting each other as their spouse, with the intent to be there for each other, respect each other , honor amd value each other and love (as in be willing to make sacrifices), every day of your life. the priest merely asks for the Lord's blessing of this covenant. but the sacrament happens with the vow, not the blessing.

that said:

these are rough times.

at eu level it considered against human rights to require to dissolve marriage for changing the gender marker in a piece of paper. but that's not accepted as law in Poland yet.

in Germany it took about four decades.

it's going to be a looking march.

if your wife loves you you'll find a way, together.

if she loves the man you seemed to be but not you...

then maybe it's for the better that the two of you didn't take the vows yet.

I pray for you.

PS: there are LGBT+ friendly priests in Poland. so if you don't need state legal documents and big fanfare, you can find ways. just saying.

susanne-o

agreed. to add: the real reveal of that guy's behavior is the he is egoistic and self enriching. I have a hard time imagining a business role where that is healthy for business.
