Anything vanilla or cookie scented is an instant brain squeezer for me. Which sucks because I love the smells.

I'm going to, although my pharmacist said it might be an issue with triptans themselves. Scheduling an appointment soon.

Yikes. Luckily mine wasn't severe, but enough for me to notice and be concerned.

I have such beef with Mandala yarn!! The gradients are so cute but the knots drive me up a wall!!

Rolling my eyes.
It was such a trigger for nMom that if she even thought I was rolling my eyes at her she would fly off the handle. Didn't even have to be in the same room, if she felt I was rolling my eyes - and I literally mean felt, she thought she had some sort of sixth sense - she would start swearing.
One time, in my early 20s when I was still living at my parents', I came into her room to ask her opinion on an outfit I wanted to wear out. Must have caught her on a bad day because she just started ripping into me. Told me I looked fat, that my hair looked awful and I was covered in acne and my makeup looked whorish. I kind of just went, "I didn't think it looked that bad," and she laughed at me and pulled me over to the mirror to start physically pointing out my flaws.
I might have rolled my eyes, to be fair. I honestly don't remember, this was almost a decade ago. But her response to that was to put her hand around my neck and go "Roll your eyes at me again, I dare you."

Sort of. My mom gave me the nickname she always wanted to be called as a child. It's not a common nickname for my legal name but not too crazy so it slips by most people.

I actually already crochet and it's been super helpful. I've been thinking of starting yoga too.

Have my phone open when someone enters the room. Nmom didn't do privacy and if I was looking at something on my phone she would demand to see it, even if it was just Facebook or something innocuous, so I got really good at shutting my phone off when I hear footsteps.
When I first moved in with my partner I did it out of habit and it got to a point where he asked if I was hiding something from him. I have to make a conscious effort not to panic shut my screens when he comes in.

Managed not to give in but it was a close call. It's better if I keep my hands busy, I think.
The urge was still there but my dishes are done now lol

Defending myself. I got accused of doing things I didn't do growing up, and if I tried to defend myself, that just dug me deeper. Nmom thought she had some mind reading psychic powers so she was always right and I was just a lying little brat.
Found out later a lot of that was due to memory issues from her opioid abuse. She didn't remember leaving the living room a mess, so obviously I did it and I'm a pathological liar.

I get this a lot too. I'm white and my partner is South Asian, and the closer we get to 30 the more the comments come out, especially from my relatives. They're just trying to be supportive, I'm sure, but it gets a little weird.
Definitely weird from the randos. When a new coworker saw my phone background of my partner and I she immediately started gushing about how cute our hypothetical babies would be.

I had a glitch in Inquisition while talking with Minaeve in Haven. One of the Chantry sisters got stuck moonwalking behind my Inquisitor and I couldn't stop going "Oh you can tell by the way I use my walk."

I have a similar one!! Not kicked out, thankfully, but I got the silent treatment because my mom thought the Netherlands was a Nordic country and when I tried to pull up Google to show her she went "I don't want to fight with someone who has to be right all the time!"

Yes, thank you for phrasing it better. Rook came with a predetermined personality and moral code, it felt like. There were very few chances to flesh them out as a character depending on your play style.
I read a different thread on this subreddit talking about the naming of the player character that actually makes a solid point regarding this. In DAO and DAI, the player character was referred to by a title - Warden and Inquisitor. Hawke was referred to by their last name, which is still relatively impersonal. "Rook" is a nickname, which someone has to give you for personal reasons. Varric even says it's "because they think in straight lines." Doesn't leave much room for personalization there if a well-established character already gave you a nickname based on how you supposedly think.

As much as I hate to say it, I think this is it unless they hand it off to another studio. I would love to see it go the way of BG3 like other people are saying, but I don't see Bioware giving it up.
On your point about the characters: The way we interact with our companions in Veilguard made me miss Inquisition so much. I could spend hours in Skyhold chatting with the different characters, and they felt so much more fleshed out and relatable then the companions in Veilguard. Even if I didn't particularly like the character, I loved learning about the world through their eyes. The writing in Veilguard felt...too plot driven? If that makes sense. It didn't let us get to know the characters as people as much as Inquisition, and the writers dropped the ball hard in that aspect.

So beautiful!! A blanket is so hard to do, keeping your tension must have been difficult!!
tacticianallie
Yikes, that sounds awful.
I know I'm a stranger on reddit but if you want someone to chat with my inbox is open

That's terrible, I'm so sorry. Do you want to talk about what happened??
And do you have any irl support??
Indian food, specifically paneer tikka masala with garlic naan. Idk if I'm crazy or not but I feel like the spices used in Indian food help.
Unless I'm puking, then it's soup and toast with some Gatorade.
