buy cloud compute time. Install debian on cloud compute. Install ollama. Run an abliterated coding model thats got a reverse engineering LORA at like 100b with a real high context. Add some reverse engineering MCPs. point it at the damn thing. You may need to attach a bus pirate to the hardware though, but yeah. Thats my solution. Reverse engineered a CLI tool for my ATT proprietary router that way and reverse engineered a driver for a wifi dongle i bought that didn't have one for my os.

an ai model is not the data it was trained on - it is a statistically likely approximation of it. AI models are statistical engines that just happen to work really well for what they are. They are often linked with vector databases and/or given tools to search the web for data, but the model at its core, knows nothing. If you get a bunch of data points, place them on an x/y grid (up and down, left and right) according to their values, and then draw a line through the center of those values, thats essentially a machine learning model - a type of ai, called linear regression. The line is the machine learning model, not the data. It doesn't know the data exists, and if it does, it's broken, called "overfit". Source: I'm an ai developer and machine learning engineer. They will always be lower intellect than you most likely, because that level of brain plasticity requires quite a bit of effort and for many is impossible. My take?
