Purpose of life: Paying for the sins of your parents.

I have a slightly different take on this: Humans are smart enough to become master over every other species and extract resources from environment, and the evolution stopped right there. We could not become a bit more intelligent to be able to understand a simple thing as fact vs fantasy.

That said, if democracy does survive for another 50 years and our environment is not overly polluted, we may become collectively intelligent being caring about everything and everyone unlike the current short sighted: I got mine, good luck with yours.

BTW, if we were living in utopia, life will be 100 times more bearable than current system where 99% have to suffer due to socio economic situations they have to endure due to 0.1% perverting the system for their sole benefit.

Most couples who have worked for 30 years and 100% ownership of home need $0 to retire after 65.

IT couples get like $7-10k in SS payments. Medicare subsidizes health care expenses big time.

I am afraid that dealer or any other mechanic shop will give me a list of things to fix costing thousands when all I need is a checkup/inspection done along with oil and filter change. I barely drive few thousand miles a year.

I am hoping nobody stoops as low as swapping an OEM part with a faulty part and telling me that it's broke since my vehicle has very low mileage(10k miles).

In the age of automation, less population is an incentive since robots/AI do not suffer if they are unemployed.

Welcome to the monopolies of retail trading and commission free is not actually free.

Come on man, google search will not tell me the quality of a mechanic, it will just give a list and then I have to parse through reviews, most of them fake, to figure out if anything is reliable.

Yeah, I have a huge position in TLT with covered calls, to net me like 14% total return in a year

Not he might, he has 90% chance of winning at the moment.

Retirement home is a thing bro. With all the money we have saved by not having a kid, we can easily afford one. Imagine having 24X7 support system and living with same age folks like college days instead of playing sas-bahu ruining kids personal life.

Let them be, it's none of your business.

What if the wife is not interested in a divorce and she will take out her anger on you or if your company fires you for interfering in other people's personal life.

Super rich, owner of multiple companies in top 20 by market cap.

Many men in the world just worship rich and famous men.

If you both plan to not have biological kids and if it is not illegal in your place, I don't see any problem with this relationship.

You can adopt kids if that is your thing.

If you want more traction focus on knowing someone as a human, their hobbies, their quirks their long term vision, etc. instead of focussing on sex and sensuality and talking about physical urges.

Think about this way, if you really want a women to take interest in you, never talk about sex unless they bring it up. It is an obvious thing, not to be spoken unless there is a strong chemistry established between you two after few meetings.

Please do not take offense to my comment, this is my 2 cents with like 35+ years of interacting with women all over the world.

Dude post this question on r/FIRE_Ind/

To know your fire number, you need to know your expected expenses and age at retirement along with longevity.

I am going to steal this one:

Reason for being cf- I am childfree because I love & adore children too much to bring them into this cruel, sad world we live in. Having children also puts burden on our environment, ecology and resources.

Have you tried facebook group?

You may get wider reach there.

My recommendation is to save around 30-40% in down payment before committing to such a big purchase.

Enjoy the freedom of renting until then.

Once you buy, you should plan to stay in that place for at least 5-6 years. Else you will lose money big time since acquisition cost itself is around 20%(registration+taxes).

Hopefully you are financially independent and in good health.

Otherwise you need a strong dose of Stoicism to cope with all the shit related to above.

Nihilism just frees us from being bound to stupid rat race of society but we still gotta pay the bill and bad health still hurts and affects quality of life.

I hope they will allow euthanasia tourists. I don’t mind giving them money to settle my final bill

You are so on spot.

Around 30% people are forced to live hand to mouth to keep inflation low. Wages going up is bad it seems and the Fed raised rates to start unemployment to cool down inflation and bring wages down. Otherwise wage price spiral will be a problem it seems.

The economy by design is going to work only for top 20%, the lucky few to be in professions in demand right now. The top 0.1% just makes profits from the whole system like it is their birthright.

The bottom 70% just should be happy to not go broke, living paycheck to paycheck.

Yeah, if Nazar was a thing, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, etc would have gone bankrupt they day everyone came to know they are billionaires.

And Ambanis are literally spending like 1000 crore on a wedding.

Most people here are under 55, not sure you are going to get any leads here.

I have plans to exit voluntarily before I need any kind of extended healthcare services or geriatric care.

My guess is around 72-77 is a good time to exit in grace before our digestion system or knee or any other parts spend most of the day bitching.
