Thank you for your reply. Do you notice any difference in the battery life of the controller with/without the headphones? I get roughly 6 hours between charges with no features disabled, without anything plugged in.

Thanks for the feedback. Those headphones look nice and I'll keep them in mind if I decide not to use my XM4s.

Final Fantasy XI, the MMO, had an "all classes on one character" system and also a hybrid class system. At any given time, after you unlocked the ability, you could have a primary class and a secondary class that capped out at half the level of your primary class, and gave stats and most abilities up to that level (e.g. Level 40 White Mage with a secondary class of a level 20 Black Mage). The caveat was that your secondary class's level was restricted to whatever you had leveled it up to on your character so you'd have to go level that class up first before you equipped it as your secondary if you wanted to be full power (going from the previous example, if you only leveled up black mage to level 10 and equipped it on your level 40 white mage, you'd still only have a secondary class of black mage level 10, leaving 10 levels of power and abilities on the table.) When the level cap was still 75 this meant the optimal leveling path was to figure out what you wanted your secondary class to be and level it up to 37 before then switching to begin leveling your primary. And if your planned secondary class had an different optimal secondary class to level with, the optimal path was to start leveling THAT one up to 18 before hand. This all sounds like it's some min/max unnecessary bullshit, but not having an optimal class setup was severely underpowered and you wouldn't get invited to leveling groups unless you did. And, yes, this MMO was designed in a way that you were basically forced to group with a fully party of 6 and kill monsters even just to level up your character. You didn't get experience points from quests. It was crazy and still one of my favorite experiences in my entire history of gaming.

They were referred to as 2-hours in final fantasy XI too. Super fun to hit the wrong macro and pop your 2hr on a trash mob or nothing at all lol.

Red Mage and Bard were my favorite classes in Final Fantasy XI so I agree with you here. For those that didn't play, you were restricted to 6-man parties, for your normal content, and the conventional makeup was 1 tank, 1 healer and 4 DPS. But you could often swap out a DPS for a support role or sometimes 2 supports could take the place of a dedicated healer and offer additional damage output through buffs or CC. Loved playing those classes and I never really played another MMO where it felt the same.

I was imagining a Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets-esque story about some manifestation of the dark side reaching through the Jedi protections due to some padawan being extra force sensitive. It makes sense that the Jedi Temple would be able to act as a barrier to most of it but, as we know, they weren't perfect.

testamentos

Are there any old EU stories revolving around some force sensitive being that gets brought to the temple for training and is corrupted or influenced by some dark side forces? That sounds like it would make a cool story.

I'm currently playing Black Flag Resynced, so that's what I would try out first. The anti reflection feature is what I am most curious about. I don't have the ability in my current apartment to have a completely dark room during the day so I would be curious to see how much of a difference the anti glare makes to my current tv.

Does this take one or two switches to activate? Is it one process or is there a separate switch for the top and the shell?

I played on early access release up to high maps and then the following league up to low maps. Release was fun because everything was new. Next league I kind of felt like endgame was a little boring, there weren't as many mini-milestone dopamine hits like PoE1 to keep me going and it also felt like because there were way fewer systems that the build complexity was overly simplified. How is the state of the game now, both progression and endgame?

If you find anything, let me know! I would love to watch some old episodes for nostalgia. The Revision 3 era was actually pretty cool around that time and had multiple good shows that I would wait weekly to air but I think it just came tok early. Before online streaming shows were popular, YouTube was still new, twitch was still justin.tv, Netflix didn't have original programming, etc.

testamentos

I think the episodes are lost to time. I can't find them hosted anywhere. The only article I can find is the Wikipedia article for a podcast of the same name that came later. The show was produced by Area 5 Media. Kevin Rose had left Screensavers on Tech TV and founded Revision3 media in like 2005. They were trying to create an online TV platform. I want to say that CO-OP aired in 2009 and wasn't on long. I don't think the show was affiliated with Anthony Carboni. I'm going off of memory here and it's been quite a while.

I found out about Eufloria from the CO-OP show on the Revision3 network back in like 2009 or 2010. It was a fun little gaming show that mixed sketches with game reviews, based out of San Francisco, CA. It was a great way to learn about new indie games and I was sad when it ended.

Eufloria was super fun and had a great art style. I haven't thought about the game in a while but this is super exciting news.

Hey just wanted to thank you. I didn't even think of a software update on the head unit to be honest. I checked and mine is several versions old. Also I realized I actually have an ax6000 rather than a 5000. I couldn't get the phone USB tethering to work so I need to order a usb-c thumb drive to do the software installation but I have hopes that this might solve it.

Thank you! This fills in the gaps I had. I appreciate it.

You know, I don't notice the abl either but it could be because I've basically kept the settings since I got the monitor when it launched. I remember there was a lot of debate on the best setup and hdr1000 vs 400 and I just went with 1000 and never changed it. I'm probably just used to both the SDR washout and the abl, as you said. And I haven't really been using my PC as much for gaming lately either. Thanks for the reply.

I have the first run of the Alienware oled ultrawide, the aw3423dw and when I first got it I followed a guide from a neowin article that said to enable the HDR1000 setting and to turn the SDR brightness slider in the Windows HDR setting down to 10. I have never noticed any washed out sdr content since I got this monitor even though I have seen tons of posts and articles about how it's broken. Am I just blind or is it something about this monitor in which the SDR content isn't actually washed out? I never turn off HDR in windows, I leave it on 100% of the time.

I played Final Fantasy 14 2.0 when it first launched on my PS3, as I didn't have a PC at the time and the loading times were horrible. I swapped to just a 120GB SSD and my loading times went from 30+ seconds to like 5 when switching zones. It was great!

She's the lead in a sci-fi show called Devs. The show was actually pretty good but I felt like her performance was the weakest part of that show too. Nick Offerman saves it.

The film version seems as if it's just a few rooms and mostly empty vertical space but the books seem to describe a more traditional fort.
