oh shit, does that mean OP just killed them?

the_beard_guy

yeah he didnt write the Shatnerverse books, or at least he didnt by himself. they were written by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, who were some prolific tv show and novel writers themselves. though they're mostly known for their Star Trek novels.

i read somewhere that they would get together and ask Shatner what would the book be about. he'd give them a rough outline of what he would like to see and they'd go into the finer details and whatnot.

i think outside of biographys the only books he wrote were some early Tekwar novels, and the rest were ghost written

the wildest thing of that article no one really brings up is that he might have killed a kid when he was like 5. Bridge of Terabithia style

When he was 5, a 4-year-old boy, the son of family friends, disappeared on his parents’ property upstate. Eventually, his body was found; he had drowned in the pond. Years later, as a teenager, Whedon remembered he had called the boy over to the pond to play with him. After getting bored, he had walked away, leaving the boy alone by the water. “I didn’t think it was my fault,” Whedon said. “I knew I was 5. But it doesn’t just disappear as a thought.” It took him another 30 years, he said, before another thought dawned on him: Even after the incident, his parents never taught him to swim. “There was no structure,” he said. “There was no safety.”

its dumb but nowadays anytime Jerry Seinfeld is mentioned the first think i think of is that 1738 edit.

the_beard_guy

im not saying theyre not lying, but you have a 5ish minute window to edit your post till the little (last edited # ago) notification shows up on the comment.

i had to look it up because i thought it was gonna be a straight to streaming movie like Batgirl. it was meant to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023, but they took it off the schedule and released Barbie instead.

the_beard_guy

then that gives him what he wants.

i dont think it was necessarily shoehorned in Jurassic Park, but i kind of get what you mean.

the book had came out in 1990 and home computers, like we know them, really only started hitting the market a couple of years before. programming fractals was A) a cool math visual and B) a neat way to show off what the computer could do. its like when your math teacher wanted to show off those IT-83 calculators we all got in the mid 2000's. they would run the Sierpinski Triangle to show you how much it could do over a regular every day calculator.

the_beard_guy

they were there to explain why the fractal in each chapter gets bigger and more intricate as it gets more and more chaotic as the store progresses

every youtuber and their mom had one. i remember wanting one because i was trying to get into being a Youtuber back in the late 2000s. i did end up getting a Sony Webbie. it was a cool camera. had a better camera, sound recording, and the camera actually flipped. had that sucker for about 5 years before the battery died. by then phones had caught up and were miles ahead.

the_beard_guy

die like everyone else

we sure about that? /s

Ed Helms? i thought his name was Egg Helms

the Ted tv show had no right to be as good as it did! in my mind i like to think of it as how they used to tv shows based on movies. where they were based on the movie, but its it own alternative canon. like MASH, SG1, and the Men In Black cartoon

i think i deleted all the reposts, but if i didnt im sorry for this showing up like 15 times. the submit button didnt want to work.

the_beard_guy

sort of the same but i had it in my mind that it came out in the early 2010s. so when i looked it up i double checked it to make sure.
