I don’t think FAA regulations were a development consideration. That obviously a soft limitation as indicated already by the drones ability to surpass that height. However, from a hardcode standpoint I’m just curious how they just all somehow managed to be programmed to turn off at that height. Show me multiple drones with multiple vendors turning off at the same height and you’ve got my interest peaked. However, if it was some hard coded value that’s exactly the way I’d expect all of the drones to react at that height.

I’ve heard Jim reference the drones gps several times while he was flying it. As far as the “kill command” I have a hard time believing that wasn’t a pre programmed kill switch from the original drone developments source code. They don’t want them going that high, it’s a serious liability

I’m referring more to the individual drone flights where the operator stated his drone was “pushed” we he attempted to enter the triangle.

I’d argue this isn’t for dramatics. Imagine bricks were falling 3000 feet from the sky. Both weigh 5lbs. I’m certain a brick from 3k feet is deadly if struck on the head.
