Currently single by choice at the moment. But yes, I've been in a normal relationship with a couple men and have had a fair number of situationships (normal ass blue collar straight men). I just let them get to know me before telling them I'm transsex and have never had an issue🤷‍♀️

I have a guy friend I've known for a couple years that has told me that I'd be surprised at how many guys wouldn't care. Personally, I've dealt more with some caring about the fact that I'm infertile if anything.

Single mom and full-time parent to an almost 4 year old. In my circle, only a couple close friends know.

It's not something I'm trying to hide from him. However, I don't think it's something I'm going to purposely sit down and have a talk about. I'm sure he'll go through old pictures, overhear me discussing politics/current state of affairs with close friends, or maybe ask me why I can't have another baby. If he ever connects the dots, I think it's simple to explain.

I think she'd be a good pick. Acting aside, she's explicitly stated she's just a woman and looking for roles as such and doesn't want to be typecast as a "trans" actress.

Everyone I've dated tbh. The amount of 'apolitical' straight men who have actually listened and showed empathy shocked me. Many times now I've fully expected heart break and have been pleasantly surprised.

Once I've gotten close and really felt comfortable opening up about the tragic backstory it just has blown their mind further regarding the existence and validity of transsex people.

As someone who works in bioinformatics/genetics as a career, this type of pseudoscientific ignorance genuinely makes me want to off myself.

I personally wait until after I meet someone irl and if I feel like it could go somewhere more romantic or sexual tell them. I don't think there's a point bringing up something so personal like that immediately if the chemistry isn't there anyways🤷‍♀️

You can't target fat loss, only where you build muscle. Years ago when I started I focused on losing as much weight as possible so then when I regained some it was in the appropriate areas. Otherwise, fat redistribution will occur but extremely slowly.

Maybe some granulation tissue inside that never healed on its own?

Also, for context, I went to Dr. Jun as well. I used to bleed a tiny bit after sex. Austin mentioned it was probably some granulation/raw tissue. In my case it resolved on its own.

I think in liberal circles "queer" is used as a catch-all label for "LGBT+" that is seen as politically correct

Raised extremely fundy Mormon. Their beliefs over sex/gender really messed with my head even as a kid.

I'm 27F so my experience will be different, but dating is really weird. I hate that I feel like I have a secret in the back of my mind that I have to tell at some point if things escalate -- this also stops me from having "casual" partners which frustrates me because I don't want to have to out myself for casual sex with a rando.

However, I will say, getting dates with people I'm attracted to, whether men or women, has not been difficult.

I will not take this bi slander😂

Any chance you're in an Enhanced ID state (Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, or Washington)? If so it's a proof of citizenship and allows you to travel to Mexico/Canada by land and done through the state.

I don't think it's black and white. I live in a Navy town and politics are all over the place. I've dated guys and girls in the military and -- if anything -- it's more progressive as whole than people think. I think everyone coming from such diverse backgrounds and being seen as "equal" within rank plays a part in that.

Legally, it's not possible. Assuming they are as thorough as they are for passports, you would have a tough time with them not finding out.

throwaway02183

Past or present, anyone they find out is transsex is out or cannot enlist. Practically, even if you could stealth with your documents, why would you want to serve a country that called you untruthful and dishonorable as a reason to justify keeping you out?

throwaway02183

Your mom even calling it a problem and gossiping about it is major red flag behavior.

throwaway02183

Yes. It's a pretty common sentiment among people who detransition.

throwaway02183

There was a post where the department requested proof/documentation regarding the info that was amended on the birth certificate they sent in -- so yes.

throwaway02183

They do think about it. Cruelty and humiliation to 'deter' people from transitioning in the future is the point.

throwaway02183

I am a mom to a three year old and I've gone back and forth on when to say. I don't have extended family so my thoughts are if he's old enough to ask why I can tell him. I don't want it to seem purposefully deceitful.

throwaway02183

If you have never had a passport there shouldn't be an issue. The issue is when you're applying for a new passport and trying to update the sex from your previous one.

Bioinformatics

My goal was a natural look and she totally nailed it. Highly recommend!

throwaway02183

Honestly, attraction aside, being with someone early transition would be exhausting and too much to deal with. Also, people change so much from the beginning to the end that I feel like it would be poor timing on their part to get into something serious.

throwaway02183

When I was pre-op I would've rather died than have someone notice anything there, especially in public...
