I Krav Maghi no dai

cabinet cover of Viiigoooo. + 100 riff points.

The Dean V is really cool, but also the thunderbird, it's luthier-built?

tierratanmala

You don't sound dumb at all—it's a very common question, but running a bass modeler into consumer Bluetooth/multimedia speakers (even good 60W active Marshall ones) is generally not a great idea.

Consumer speakers are engineered to play back finished, fully mastered music where peaks are already compressed and the sub-bass is tightly controlled. An electric bass plugged directly into an amp modeler produces massive, uncompressed transient spikes and raw dynamic swings that those drivers aren't designed to handle. Even at low volumes, you run a serious risk of pushing the small cones past their excursion limits, causing harsh digital/mechanical distortion or permanently blowing out the woofers.

If you want to use an amp modeler without an actual bass combo, stick with Spark 2, i have it and for small rooms it's more than enough and if later on you want to jam with other people in a rehearsal space or play live shows, you can simply pick up a dedicated full-range flat-response (FRFR) powered cab. FRFR cabs built for instruments are designed to handle that raw, uncompressed bass signal safely, giving you plenty of headroom, low-end punch, and stage volume without breaking up.

If you're set on getting a Spark, which is honestly a great tool, you're much better off getting the Spark 2.

Unless you plan on using it strictly with headphones, that tiny two-inch speaker just can't move enough air to handle the low end, so you end up with a boxy tone that distorts way too easily.

It has dedicated woofers and extra power that let your low notes breathe without choking. The Go works fine as an ultra-portable headphone amp on the go, but for an actual home practice setup where you can play out loud without the sound breaking up, the Spark 2 is a far better choice.
