We are literally doing this at Lore (I'm one of the owners). We've got Drag Bingo during the day this weekend and a craft evening on Aug 12th. We're trying to be intentional about it.

Unfortunately, at least for now, those things aren't terribly popular and can't really sustain a business. We often don't break even on weekdays. We'll keep doing them because we think it's important to get that ball rolling and hopefully it will turn around with time. But right now with a lot of our neighboring businesses, there isn't much financial luxury to open on a weekday.

That is part of the misinformation. Looting is still a crime, just a misdemeanor now. The police will still arrest you.

Highly recommend https://branch.vote as they give great non-partisan detail on every candidate and the ballot measures. It's a small startup from here in Atlanta.

Just putting this under the top comment because I didn't see it mentioned elsewhere: This is Josh Johnson https://www.instagram.com/joshjohnsoncomedy/

And for Josh, the OP, make sure you put a watermark on these clips. You're awesome and totally deserve the credit!

I like to think of it like this:

Say you're a boxer and you have a big match coming up. Would you go into it with no training? Of course not, you'd go to a training camp to prepare and be in fighting shape for your match.

The vaccine is just like that: training camp for your immune system.

And much like a normal training camp, if you don't go for a while, your skills and fitness will wane. No boxer goes to a camp once in their career and goes on to win every fight. You keep training and getting better between matches.

That's why you need boosters, even if you've had a prior infection. Immunity wanes and you need to keep your immune system in fighting shape for any battles with COVID.

Got hooked on that P681R mutation. It's been all downhill from there.

Real missed opportunity to call it Pfizermectin

My 5-year-old is booked for next week. Getting our boosters at the same time.

This is a huge relief for our holiday travel, where we won't have to be as hyper-vigilant about exposure.

They are literally Linux boxes: https://stadia.dev/intl/en_us/about/

It's just plain Debian with Vulkan as the target on an AMD GPU. Very similar to the PS4/PS5.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact Florida has the highest absolute number of cases, deaths, and hospitalizations in the country right now...

There are two books that basically complete the series, Welcome to Promise City and Promises Broken. They're not the best written novels, but close things out for the series in a satisfying way.

I mean, and this is just me speaking, it's probably slightly better than dying?

You can do an in-person "mail-in" ballot in PA. You go to the office, get your ballot, fill it out, and hand it right back to them. It's a common method of early voting in the state.

For folks that requested a mail ballot and went to the office to do that anyways, they wiuld show reversed dates if they did so before the state mailed the ballot.

There are perfectly valid and common reasons for those numbers.

It's a TikTok song. This video is likely lifted from there. Based on the compression, it's probably a repost on TikTok with the audio substituted to avoid being tracked to the original source.
