No problems here. I've been AFK overnight fishing every night for the past two weeks with no issues. My wife was disconnected once while training her horse in the past month. Honestly it's the most stable I've ever seen the game, though we do have solid internet service in my area.

The Land of Morning Light is across the ocean to the north. So... kinda far depending on how you want to get there.

I've honestly not had a class I've just clicked with like Sage. Every attack looks like it hits hard with the gravity/time/space manipulation of the kyve, or playing God with the kibelius and electrifying everything including yourself with fast, teleporting attacks. It's what I had been looking forward to, and playing him now has me hooked on the game all over again.

I still have flashbacks of running Binding Coils turn 2 or 3 way back. I'm assuming it's easier now than it was pre-Heavensward though.

I haven't started a single relic weapon yet, come to think of it. So much to do and I still keep getting the urge to level up random jobs. Not that I'm complaining. :D

I have stopped and started quite a few times over the... seven or so years I've been playing. I'm just now through base Stormblood and excited to get to Shadowbringers to prepare for Endwalker. I have done very little side content, and I've heard some of that ties in to the ShB story. I mean, I just did World of Darkness for the first time last night, and when I first started playing I think that was the most recent content out.
Is there a spoiler-free guide as to what I would need to do to fully prepare before stepping into Shadowbringers? I'm assuming I should get caught up with all the raid content, but is there anything else I should be aware of?

I actually have the quest to unlock Eureka, so I'll do that first. Thanks!

Ebay has a few available.

You can fix that behavior in your site settings, but I'd wager most users never do.

I love that "What sorcery is this!?" look at the end. It's the best!

Karkat must be weird then. He's nine pounds and leaves the big toys for his much smaller sisters to take. Of course they use him to get bigger toys out of the toy box so they can stash them, but he is just too sweet to say no.
Also because 1.4 pounds of Terezi can flip him onto his back. We're all afraid of her.

I watched the movie last night. I remember her saying one word in Spanish with an accent that is really, really jarring. She's much darker in the movie overall - the most deeply tanned-looking one out of the cast. She was voiced by Gina Rodriguez for some reason, but still...
Is that how it works now? Can I never do my black voices anymore since I'm a fat white guy? Man this timeline sucks!

Well you know what they say about guys with big hands! ;)
... They have trouble finding comfortable peripherals.
I've got I suppose normal-sized hands for a guy that's 5'7" and I needed to adjust the keypad a bit. Thankfully it's got three sections that can be adjusted: the thumb area, wrist rest, and the angle of the palm rest. It may take some getting used to, but unless you're an extreme outlier you should be able to adjust it to your liking. These do take getting used to after all, like many new control methods.

I think it took 2-3 weeks of use before it kept registering a direction as being constantly pressed for me, but after that it was happening every hour or so. The Pro apparently uses the same d-pad internals as the v2, so if does start happening to you quickly spinning the stick (which is detachable by the way!) fixes it. Hopefully yours keep you free and clear of any issues!

For anyone in the US looking to try a keypad but don't want to pay $400 for this on the secondary market, Amazon has the Razer Tartarus Pro and Orbweaver on sale for $99 and $79 respectively. The Tartarus uses newer software and has "optical" keys but a terribly d-pad prone to sticking. The Orbweaver is older but more solidly built with mechanical keys.
tinkyXIII
Oh no, what I mean by useless is that most people would bind movement to the d-pad located by your thumb. The d-pad that isn't analog "optical" at all and is mushy as hell and prone to sticking and failing. The Tartarus models at least use Synapse 3, while the Orbweaver is stuck on Synapse 2 which is far inferior and buggy as hell.
Not upgrading the d-pad on the Tartarus Pro is the dumbest thing Razer has done in a while... and this is Razer we're talking about here! Still, I'd love for the Orbweaver to get an update.

Left-handed people would be better served by have the stick on the opposite side of the device, oddly enough. I've been using keypads for about six years now and they help immensely in a game like this with so many needed skills. All of the keys are completely customizable, so in my case (with a Razer Orbweaver) I've got three rows of four keys set up for slot 1-12. Add in two easily reachable modifier keys for control and shift and I've got three full hotbars I don't need to move my hand at all to reach.
The one big advantage this has over other current mass-market keypads is the analog stick. Of the ones I've used, only the Logitech G13 used one, and it was not made for comfort. The only mass-market manufacturers of keypads that include dedicated control pads or sticks are Hori and Razer. Haven't used Hori's stuff yet since those are mainly for console, but I have both of Razer's line - the Orbweaver and Tartarus v2 (there's a newer Tartarus but it includes "analog keys" which are by all accounts useless). The Orbweaver, while older, is much, much better than the Tartarus by virtue of the d-pad not being a piece of shit.
This got overlong, sorry.

Probably not considered so much as "here are a dozen potential designs I cooked up using a few base bodies in an hour's time. Let me know what direction you want to go with the project". I do the same thing when I have a vague idea for a character and want to see what works.

OH MAN SO MUCH HAS CHANGED. NOT DOING LESS DAMAGE IN TANK STANCE IS STILL WEIRD TO ME. TIME TO GO HOARD POETICS. PLUS MY RED MAGE IS ALREADY DECKED OUT IN SHIRE ARMOR SINCE THAT'S UNBELIEVABLY FANCY.
tinkyXIII
I ABSOLUTELY WILL! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
tinkyXIII
HEY THANKS FOR THE OFFER! I THINK I'LL TRY TO PLUG AWAY AT IT LATER THIS WEEKEND IF I GET TIRED OF CLEARING THE MASS OF QUESTS POST-HEAVENSWARD HAS GIVEN ME. STILL SO MUCH TO DO, IT'S GREAT!
tinkyXIII
Not to mention his wife who he bases his women off of. He seems like a really nice guy to me. He knows his strengths and pumps out consistently quality work (especially for an Art Adams clone).
tinkyXIII
YOU JUST MADE MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY'S LIVES IN THIS GAME SO MUCH EASIER. AFTER THE EARLY CONJURER CLASS QUEST WE JUST THOUGHT THEY ALL HAD TO BE DONE SOLO. THANKS!

There's at least one site that updates weekly with tons of comics you can freely read without having to worry about torrents, which is great if you don't care about archiving anything. Marvel has a few of these shitty webcomic-knockoff series, most notably the recent Unreadable Squirrel Girl.
