why you saying that like its the bike’s fault 🤡

toothless650

You too!

toothless650

Here is a gt650 to interceptor conversion as well that I had come across.

Yes I would say leather over rubber anyday. I ride mostly only with jeans and the leather grips provide me all the grip I need. Occassionally when needed, you do need a bit of slip, say when youre braking hard. So rubber ones would be too grippy. These leather ones are perfect aesthetically and functionally.

I mean i wouldnt say 3 years is long term but the fun I have with this bike only keeps increasing. Huge scope for mods and the engine by itself is pretty good when it comes to that price range.

About your friends, it fully depends on what your friends ride. If they’re on high cc sports bikes then yes the bike would struggle to keep up. Also highly depends on where youre located. Im based out of India, where theres a lot of traffic and narrow roads. For me personally the bike is way more than required for traffic (in a good way).

In general right, the bike is very peppy and responsive and the weight of the bike is something that makes it feel very planted (205+ kgs). Once you get used to the weight and moving it around, its genuinely the most fun you’ll ever have. I dont plan to sell this bike even if i get another bike because i dont think anything can replicate the feeling this one gives me.

Thanks so much!

You could get the interceptor handlebars and the interceptor footpegs as well. It should be a relatively cheap conversion itself.

Yeahh its something about the stock exhaust bro. So massive and shiny and yet people somehow fully miss seeing it. Its insane. That being said the rear exhausts are slightly outward facing itself. DM me a pic or something and I'll take a look. It might just be normal.

toothless650

The weight you would be shedding with a slip on, would be minimal though you would be able to feel it. One big advantage of slipons even i noticed when i had my red roosters, were that the bike was instantly much more thin/sleek. Lesser people rear ending my default exhaust in traffic and much more maneuverability in traffic as well.

toothless650

These arent AEW exhausts, this is a SS motocorp fullsystem 2x1 with a custom exhaust tip. I had red roosters before this and they were beautiful. But yes in the high end rpm the sound tears a lot. AEW 103 has a good bass throughout and a very nice tone as well. But those are loud too. A friend of mine has them and i would'nt say they are silent in anyways.

toothless650

I dont think they will get damaged as they're pretty water proof. One piece of advice that I would give which i wish I had was, get PPF on the side panel before you get the bag. I didnt, and now my side panel has almost fully faded away. The gloss is basically gone. But the bag overall has done a good job. Just clean it often and maintain it well, its prone to fungus and also dont keep heavy items in it. The straps will sag a lot if you do.

toothless650

Unfortunately it isnt, I had an aftermarket one before I got this 2x1 but even that isnt compatible. So i need to figure out now how to go about it

toothless650

The bike’s an interceptor 💀 Wasnt sure if i was supposed to be posting here but anyways here I am cause theres no seperate subreddit for int650. Those are the default int 650 handlebars, but Im soon going to swap them out for mk designs reverse dragster handlebars and gt650 footpegs.

toothless650

its the first one in visual mods, the Rogue Gears Headlight cover

A dyno run has been on my mind ever since I got the full system exhaust, but atm its pretty expensive for me. That being said there's a lot of ways you can make sure that the AFR and everything is in place.

A full system makes the bike run lean. On top of this I have bmc air filters as well, which further increases air flow and makes it run even more lean. I got a fuelx pro+ just for this. Now when i run the bike on map 8, the AFR is ideal.

  1. No Excessive Pops during Decel (Bike runs very hot when its lean, so pops are much louder and distinct)
  2. Bike does not overheat soon (running the bike rich keeps it cool, as fuel also acts as a coolant but too rich also cause power loss)

As of now I've found that map 8 is kind of ideal for me, where it stays cool and I've noticed good power gains as well. The 1st gear now goes upto 60-63kmph (almost redline) and 2nd gear goes +- 100kmph (Almost redline). The top end as of now is 180-182 kmph on a less windy day. The best gains that I have noticed are in the initial gears acceleration and how much the bike has opened up.

Eventually I would want to run a dyno and get a sort of conservative tune done, that reduce pops and bangs almost fully and makes everything as efficient as it can be.

toothless650

oh fair fair. I get it changed the moment it starts turning slightly murky. I think as of now I’ve changed it once every year, but that too is to just be on the safe side. Brake fluid needs to be changed once in about 15k kms give or take. I just do it more often cause well, I dont want the bike to give out randomly.

toothless650

Its an SS motocorp 2x1 full system with a custom exhaust tip from them itself

toothless650

Every time i get it serviced I do a check, if its less I get it filled. I get the bike checked probably every 2-3k kms just to see if something is wrong and to check if all the fluids and oils are up to the mark.

toothless650

Genuinely been a smooth ride until now. No major issues faced. You just gotta maintain it more often than you think you have to. If you ride the bike hard, then you gotta pay attention to the bike. Everytime a part was giving out you can always feel it well in advance. So just gotta keep an eye out. Other than that the engine is a very reliable one, so as long as you arent reckless and jerking the throttle excessively in the city, you should be more than good to go.

The current average that I get ranges from about 19-21 in city and 21-24 on highways (depending on how i ride) but this also mainly due to fuelx pro+. Without that im sure the mileage would’ve been on the floor; not that it already isnt but yeah.

Ive stopped servicing from Royal Enfield because thats gotta be the biggest scam I’ve seen. Service boys ride the bike around like its a cycle, and the issues i tell them about are only resolved for 2-3 weeks after which they pop right back up. So right after my 3rd or 4th service, I found my self a good trustable mechanic and get it done from him. A general basic service could cost around 3-4k. Right when I touched 20k kms i wanted to do a very thorough service because it was well overdue. That one took me about 15k because a lot of parts were changed and replaced (sprocket rubber, ball bearings, fork alignment, spokes alignment, oil filter change, brake pads changed etc). So that cost me a bit, but again once in a while that kind of a service is required to maintain that brand new bike feel as long as you can.

toothless650

Thank you :)

toothless650

yessirr the weight reduction is insane

toothless650

thank you :’)
