Unless there was a second accident this morning I’m pretty sure this isn’t true — saw reports about a man holding a pregnant woman at gunpoint and then fleeing on foot before getting caught by state police.

In terms of COL, yes your dollar will go further in Chicago, but you will be comfortable with $250K in Boston. Anything above like … $150 you will be comfortable if you don’t have kids.

Currently live in Boston. I’ve had (and still have) my qualms as well but after traveling a lot in the country I’ve realized the great things about it. Chicago is way bigger, lots more to do, but the main thing that keeps me from Chicago is the winter weather. COLD! Cold and windy.

Illegal rental and cost of moving.

My friend who was in a similar situation in an apartment in Allston sued the LL in small claims and won.

Perhaps a deep cut but "Simon Says" by Pharoahe Monch.
Iconic intro used in Charlie's Angels, looked up the full song and listened to the unedited version ... once was enough lol the censored version remains on my playlists

I don’t think I knew this

Assuming he takes therapy seriously -- once he has had several months of individual therapy and you are not one month out from HAVING A (HIS) BABY, you should go to couples counseling as well.

I feel ya. I have muscle atrophy in my back from months of this.
I don’t have a magic solution. I will say that over the past few years I’ve gotten better at a) chipping away at things and not being completely paralyzed (How to Keep House While Drowning helped with this), b) being kinder to myself and recognizing that sometimes if I can’t get out of bed, maybe my body just really needs to rest that day, and I can try again tomorrow, and c) finding solutions to make chores easier on myself (I bought a countertop dishwasher for example. Life-changing.) Those things have helped, but I still struggle.
It’s also a really really really tough time to be a human rn (especially in the US). Everyone I know is struggling worse than average. So, there’s also that.

Try using anti-fungal shampoo (on your hair and also on your face in the shower).

What? lol this is not true. A couple weeks ago we requested an uber near downtown at ~9pm on a weekday and it didn’t assign us a driver for like 15 mins.
Same. Been over a year since I was laid off. (34)
