Think that's a given these days, unless it says "artisanally hand crafted".

trae

Did you apply anything after sanding/polishing? I can't recall what it is, but I remember some folks got longer lasting results applying something at the end..

trae

have you guys been to quensborough location? I'd rather drive 20 minutes extra to avoid the aggravation if I can. is it better?

trae

I wanted to make reactive targets. Saw a YouTube fella fill ping pong balls with chalk and it seemed quite effective with air rifles.

I tried it and didn't work with .22. Maybe I didn't put enough chalk in? I'm second guessing now... but anyway, the 22 just went through the ping pong with no satisfying cloud of chalk...

I figured ranges that are anal about "paper only", would be ok with it, since there's no debris and nothing to clean up.

Maybe I'll try it again.

trae

do you have the ebrake on? could it be sticky?

trae

Alibaba? Aliexpress? Can you send me a link?

trae

is anyone still making begleri other than aroundsquare?

trae

Yeah, it's very subtle.

trae

you sure you plugged the antenna in well? i've had a similar experience and the u.fl connector is pretty finicky

trae

Bots driving engagement, this is the cyberpunk future we deserve..

In any case, check that your uf.l antenna is plugged in correctly. I was getting way less range with my 600mw vtx vs my 200mw tinywhoop. Turns out replugging the antenna fixed it.

Crutchfield is your friend. One stop shop, guarantee to work.

trae

TIL: OpenIPC. What antennas are you running? When you say 1.5km, is it line of sight at altitude?

trae

are they compatible?

trae

This is what I did. Use a shovel to flatten a spot. The less you have to lift the better too.

trae

project ratchet spinning ring. very satisfying and tactile, but got dirty within a week and now won't spin. I've got to disassemble it and clean it.

trae

what kinda range did you get with your analog 75?

trae

can you easily add a buzzer to a tinywhoop?

trae

are there any prebuilt?

trae

Mud lakes?

Still rockin your steps?

trae

I'm starting to think that most people have no idea you can relatively easily push a car. Far too often I see a buddy hanging out with his car blocking a lane with a pull out and a drive way right there!

trae

whoa. how well does that thumb cluster work when it's so sharply angled?

trae

I have that configured on my corne, right now but it's not that precise.

trae

Can you guys recommend a similar keyboard at a lower cost?

I'd love a split keyboard with a built in mouse pointer, but $1000 is a no go.

trae

if you spend 8 hours a day on your computer, 5 days a week for 46 weeks, that's about 2000 hours a year.

it's worth investing in something you use so much, especially if you're dealing with repetitive strain injury.

if you buy a keyboard for $500, that's 40 cents an hour first year, 20 cents an hour next year etc.

shoes, mattress, underwear basically anything that is in near permanent contact with you is worth upgrading to the best quality you can afford.

I resisted buying a high quality monitor for years but a wide screen 4k is easier on my eyes and allows me to be more productive 'cause I can have multiple windows side by side.

I just started with a cheap Ali corne, and my tennis elbow is nearly resolved. I don't play tennis.

I've ordered a buncha little things from them (body mounts) and they forgot one. Shipped it out on their own dime. So far they've been great.
