Potential for accidentally giving yourself a chemical cut is high— potential for damage is absolutely guaranteed

It’s not acceptable to bail on a quick link. They seize shut and need to be removed with a wrench.

Personally I’d just keep on the Saniderm that’s already there, as long as it’s not leaking and not a giant bubble of fluid. You can leave it on for a week or so with no issues, assuming it was applied cleanly and correctly and stays intact

If the smell is strong enough just the smell could irritate their respiratory system

1-2: left is Euonymus and right is boxelder

3: boxelder

4: elm

Those look way WAY too early— they’re not going to taste good at alllll

The growths look like a rust fungus

treerabbit

Yes, they both can cause damage, but
permanent black dye can be very stubborn— you can’t go from black to blond without damage

treerabbit

Yep— boxelder maple, Acer negundo

Some species can be, especially the young leaves. This is likely Lonicera morrowii or a hybrid

treerabbit

Rip it out! Invasive bush honeysuckle

treerabbit

Not the same thing, but they are the same genus, and look very very similar when immature

treerabbit

Nah, that’s also VC

treerabbit

nope

treerabbit

That’s gonna be tough, good luck!!

You didn’t give any info about what color your hair currently is, but the salon is right— you need very, very bleached hair for a blue this vibrant, because any lingering brassiness/yellow will make it pull teal rather than a true royal blue

For semipermanent, you definitely need to wash before. Don’t worry too much about it drying out, because semipermanent dyes are basically super-pigmented conditioners, so they will remoisturize your hair.

Permanent dye is a different story. I think it’s generally recommended for your hair to not be completely clean, but I’m not as experienced with it as I am with bleach and semis.

Porta potties also get cleaned out by a pump, though, and the wipes can definitely cause issues for those— best practice for ANY kind of toilet is to throw wipes in the trash, not the toilet

Should be fine, I’ve mixed iro iro with arctic fox and manic panic with no issues

Do you have the older Ocun gloves? My partner used to get scabs just like these and was insistent that it was unavoidable, but once I convinced him to try different gloves that didn't have a giant seam across the back of the hand they went away completely

treerabbit

Left is poison ivy and right is boxelder

treerabbit

I have the same issue! Even made a very similar post a year or two ago 🥲 iro iro lasted slightly better than AF or Manic Panic for me, but still faded disappointingly quickly. Maybe it’s just something about our particular hair chemistry?? Sending you sympathy and solidarity 🙃

Did you see the second photo? One of the outer lobes definitely doesn’t look parallel

The angle the rope goes through the device definitely affects the catch force on both the Ohm and Ohmega, but to be honest I haven’t noticed a major difference between the two. The main thing I’ve noticed on both, but especially the Ohm, is that on a very overhung route sometimes the device will catch too hard or be difficult to release due to the sharp angle created even if you stand right under the draw

I bought my own tickets but I didn’t get any emailed info about what is allowed. I can’t find any info online about their bag policy— super frustrating

None of these will stick well without bleach. Unprocessed hair is too smooth for dye pigment molecules to stick to, so semipermanent dye tends to wash out after 1-2 washes on even blond hair. Bleaching roughens/opens the hair cuticle along with lifting color.
