Beware of Chicken. Silly name, fun book, very overpowered protag.

The best I know of are the Torrance Bakery in Torrance. If I am thinking of the same type of cookie. These are chewy and crispy and have walnuts. They have them in chocolate and maple.

Torrance is about 30 miles up the 405N.

I have an Excel file with different tabs for each list. I titled it Wishlist.xlsx. One tab is literally a wish list of things or places I want to experience. There is a tab of Agatha Christie books so I can keep track as I read them all, a list of Escape Rooms we've visited, a list of potential dog names, a house wish list for what I want if we even own a home, and a list of stuff we did for each wedding anniversary. There are a few other tabs.

I like lists.

Holes. Great movie, dark as hell!

I was at the LA Times Festival of Books and wandered into a booth. I almost walked into someone. I said 'excuse me' and went around her. It was Oprah! When I realized that, I noticed I was getting some serious stink-eye from security for being so close to her. I don't know how I even got that close. Middle-aged woman really are invisible!

My favorite episode! I went deep down the Law and Order path for a long time. This episode was SPOT on.

I'm going to go watch it again.

Children of Earth is some of the best sci-fi I've seen. I got hooked on the show by starting there. I even bought and read all the BBC Torchwood books.

Michael Che's standup.

I don't think he's coming to save me. He just... doesn't feel like it right now.

Didn't have a choice. She moved in to our 2b1b apartment in April. No plans for retirement + stage 5 dementia... It has been an adjustment.

How am I driving? 1-800-I'm-gonna-fuckin'-die!

NTA

Next time she asks, turn it around on her "This is awkward, but I was going to ask you if I could borrow some money."

Rerun of season 9 of Halloween Baking Championship on Food Network. I love this time of year!

You are getting a lot done! You are providing warmth, safety and comfort to a pup that probably doesn't feel very well right now. I cannot think of anything else more important.

A brave pup who can do no wrong!

Yep. I worked for a company that was bought by a larger one. My 401K more than doubled. It was a nice chunk. In 2008, I lost all of the profit. I guess I was in better shape than some because I just ended up with the same amount I had before the buyout.

Sort of. She says she's having brain issues, but she'll pull it together. So, she acknowledges it, but don't accept that there is no 'getting better'. That's okay though. We'll just keep going for as long as she needs.

Fantastic show! My first time at the Whiskey and seeing DMP was a great intro to the venue. They played the entire set the Boingo did in 1980, plus a bunch of other classics. Seeing them again in two weeks at the Gaslamp. Cannot get enough of them.

Happy birthday, Norm!

A shockingly large amount of dog hair-dust bunnies. Seriously, she is not a large dog and she has a short coat. Where the hell does all this hair come from!?

Werewolf Feud is the episode I use to introduce people to the show. The squeaky toy!!!

I can't pick just three...

  1. Werewolf Feud
  2. Resurrection
  3. The Curse
  4. Ghosts
  5. Brain Scramblies
  6. The Curse
  7. Colin's Promotion
  8. Private School
  9. Go Flip Yourself
  10. Urgent Care
