The cuddling, the holding, the kissing, and the touching are the closest thing to signals that you want to fuck that you can possibly give.

Don't do that with someone you're not ready to sleep with.

Being able to buy shit for my friends and family, talking to people about esoteric topics, spending time with the pets or livestock.

They tell us with their words while demonstrating it with their actions, over a long enough time frame for us to be confident that it's unlikely she'd be faking it for that long.

How do you feel about the portion of readers proudly declaring they skip the prose and finish books by just reading the dialogue?

Dark Romantasy makes up the lion's share of the Barnes & Noble.

General experience is that the relationship adds more problems. Ending it frees up mental bandwidth and makes it easier to solve whatever's going wrong in life.

I think he's insecure as his 🍆 must be small

Realistically, even if his dick was a fair bit above average, he may well feel small, and that the black guy would be bigger.

Dick statistics are wildly askew from the average guy's perceptions.

Funniest thing about that scene in Supernatural to me is the follow-up, where the guy is going through every single one of those terms and conditions in order, with comments and questions, to the point Crowley is losing patience first ...

A kinain in Changeling the Dreaming terms not rules ...

I think the intense strain on the Humanity track is still kinda on-theme for the kind of person who would join a The Hunters Hunted chronicle.

"He who fights monsters" and all that.

However, in the end he still got and left me a coffee as before, I sent him the money and thanked him because I felt a bad about it but he immediately refused to take the payment and just left it.

This sounds to me like buying the coffee is a peace offering for coming across as rude earlier, like he doesn't want you to think that whatever's going on with him is about you.

"Elegant" by dictionary definition is very simple and minimalistic.

Gothic is usually not that.

trulyElse

It's not intimidation. Per se.

As a general rule, men seek out complimentary traits in a partner, which means he seeks out things that shore up his weaknesses, and benefit from his strengths.

The kind of man who would be attracted to this Dark Feminine is almost without failure the kind of man who's too conflict averse to approach anyone at all; the kind of guy whose dream girl would confront the wagie at the diner to complain that they got the order wrong so he doesn't have to.

Dropping her like an ugly baby and never looking back.

trulyElse

Jesus Christ, you got saddled with some bullshit ...

Women aren't "inherently inferior"; I can't begin to fathom why the men in your life would try to convince you otherwise.

Hold onto that inner world, if you can. Nurture it. Those things are really hard to get back once they're gone ...

trulyElse

I don't trust your read on what these men said, Lilith.

I've seen how you interpret my words.

trulyElse

I think it's healthier, due to how much time it saves finding out if we actually like each other or not.

trulyElse

The rambling is how women bond with other women, so they assume it works with men.

She's trying to feel connected to you.

trulyElse

She left. Her input is no longer relevant.

I really should learn the tribe symbols properly ... I recognised more of these by pelt patterns.

Might be that you feel most secure with men who don't like you, and the guys who do like you aren't your type.

Might be what you consider to be "happy, secure, loving, considerate, generous" not lining up with how men would define those things.

Might be that this isn't actually the case, but the moments where you found an exception stick out in your memory better than the normal times.

trulyElse

Most guys try not to give signs. If they weren't good looking in their youth, they learned the hard way that women were offended by that sort of thing.

trulyElse

Lemme break this down:

You've probably heard the discourse around sexualisation of women in media, right?

A lot of guys point to what they feel is a sexualisation of men in media, only for women to say "that's a male power fantasy, not what women want from men."

A similar thing happens here.

Women call you pretty because you appeal to their ideals of beauty. You're the "female power fantasy" version of pretty. What appeals to men doesn't align with that.

trulyElse

Granted, it's not just women saying it.

It's also other men who haven't had as much trouble with women, or had issues that were completely unrelated to yours and have trouble seeing past their own nose.

trulyElse

And it forgot anything but the first panel ...
