I started mourning my 2 senior dogs long before I had to let them go, because I knew even after 12+ years together, once they were gone, many of my memories of them would fade dramatically if not disappear altogether...

Many of those senators deeply regret pressuring him to resign without due process, inc Patrick Leahy, who said he felt it was the biggest mistake of his >40 year career in the Senate.
try2try
Yep. He was an incredibly effective senator.

He didn't just bow out, he was forced out.
Franken begged for due process, I.e. an investigation and hearing re: the accusations. Chuck Schumer refused, and told him if he didn't resign he would lose all party support, be censured, and be stripped of all his committee assignments.

If the facility's visitation/ pet policies would allow it, I'll bet people could organize a "pup-train", (like a meal train) where all these lovely people could sign up for a day/time to visit Grandma with a pup. Then she could have pup/people visitors as often as she's interested, able, and allowed.
EDIT : u/Life-Leage-6300 (and maybe others) have already suggested this, but I'll leave it here to boost the idea

To clarify, your insurance should pay for your damages up to the limit of coverage in your policy; that's their obligation. In return, they then have the right to get that money back from him/his insurance.
If he is actually insured, you shouldn't need his "cooperation"; the matter will be worked out between your respective insurance companies.
Also to cover things in the microwave instead of a paper towel
