I think prices generally settle in after a month or two from release.

Also, that aerid is fucking sweeeeet 😭 nice pull

My rotten soldier, my good time boy, my sweet cheese

I love legendkeeper. You can nest shit and make map markers that lead to other pages or maps with templates for a ton of stuff.

I've been using that for homebrew on a TV table for years and love how it works for me

tryxrabbyt

Holy fuck that was funny

tryxrabbyt

I could see this being tight as shit. Good idea

tryxrabbyt

Of course! Otherwise, like others have said, dirty that bad boy up a bit. Add some foliage around the city, more things in the streets to clutter it up.

Something I like to do to get a feel for what should be around is imagine working a day in that city. Walking around what would you expect to see from street view. Maybe some vendors located near a common junction, likely some greenery areas for citizens to have leisure time in, some areas potentially more wealthy may have larger property footprints than some less wealthy areas.

Either way, the city has some great bones and I dig the hell out of the layout, well done and good luck! 🤘

Ok I gotcha. Well they do have a windows app that supposedly is better for performance, I haven't tried it though.

I know I used to make maps on a DOGSHIT laptop. Lol you can always make them in 1k, then export them in higher res, you won't lose anything as it up scales during export.

tryxrabbyt

Ok makes sense. When you say it takes time to load up you mean in Inkarnate for editing?

tryxrabbyt

I really like the silhouette of this city. Also, what size are you exporting it as?

tryxrabbyt

I would wage wars for this lad..

tryxrabbyt

Yo.. This fucks unreasonably hard.

I'm blown away by the creative masterpieces that come out of the same tools that make hot dog shit in my hands 😂

tryxrabbyt

Your first map is a completed map. That's better than I did 😂

Everyone here is giving great advice, play with the terrain tools and blending biomes. It's a skill well worth investing time into

I never really understood where this sentiment came from (fully aware of my ignorance, not saying it's wrong). It just seems like there are a TON of games lately that you don't play as or even see humans that have done incredibly well. There may be some proof to it, but I'm not sure why it's the stock and standard response when it comes to an elderscrolls title.

Not to mention, there would be human races, there are plenty of beast races in skyrim and that didn't seem to hurt numbers. Idk just my thought on it

I found that having some negative space on the map helps it feel better. My first many (and even some newer) maps were identical to this and that's the biggest thing that helped me. And breaking up landmasses. They're a smidge chunky. But I wouldn't scrap it, definitely good bones in there

Edit: even adding some smaller island land masses that you have no intention of the players ever going to helps make things like the northeast area look more natural. Little rinky dink things that help break up the shoreline

I'm a forever DM. I've told myself it's by choice so now I actively fear ever having to be a player again 😂

tryxrabbyt

I'd go ballistic for a game set in blackmarsh 😩

tryxrabbyt

Rad as hell. Idk if you've ever looked into it but if you're looking for a nice place to store your world info Legendkeeper has to be my favorite DM resource out there.

It keeps track of your world and npcs so nicely. You can even import your map and make points on it that link to other maps/quests/npcs, everything can hyperlink together. Just a suggestion if you haven't heard of it.

tryxrabbyt

Oh dip, I appreciate you posting! I forgot about both of these programs. I'm starting a new campaign soon so I'll check them out again. Thanks friend :)

Also, your set up is beyond tight. I just know your table loves you 🤘 do you have them use physical minis ontop of the table screen as well?

tryxrabbyt

This is almost exactly what I use! Although I strayed away from dynamic dungeons because it was buggy as all hell. Eventually I ended up dragging the maps I need to the TV in full screen. This was a few years ago though, has it improved in your opinion??

I think part of it is just protecting themselves from disappointment tbh. Which I get. I'm hopeful for Q3-Q4 2027 and I know I'll be a bit sad if that doesn't come to pass.

tryxrabbyt

You're right. It'll be "the marsh". It's lizard time boys

tryxrabbyt

My first thoughts exactly

tryxrabbyt

Just felt that you deserved an update, the cookies have arrived in MINT condition and I'm so excited to start my read!

I doubt it eases the stress but I hope this little Pennsylvanian victory gives you a brief smile.

Thank you again Olan :) for everything

So it's your opinion that if enough people incorrectly identify a creature then it's no longer incorrect. I would say I disagree, but that's just a matter of opinion at that point, no sense arguing it.
