You shouldn't take anything you read here as fact, and if you're concerned about your healing process than ask your artist.

BUT

In my opinion it's looking fine right now, you should expect it to look flakey and scabby at this point. Don't scratch or pick it. Keep washing it and moisturising and the scabs will fall off themselves.

There's a way to up the difficulty for NG+ using a few workarounds, or at least there was before the recent patches (I'm guessing it's still there). Give it a google sometime if you're interested.
