There is at least one individual in my town that any time anyone mentions that they dislike flock cameras responds something to the effect "you know you're already being recorded everywhere you go right, security cameras, nest cameras, doorbell cameras, so just accept it, flock cameras are useful". Very much a supporter of the surveillance state... I'm like, sure that may be true, there are a lot of other cameras out there that may be recording me, but a lot of them don't create a nationally shared searchable database that's handed to law enforcement on a silver platter, and, who are you to say that I like any of those other cameras? Also, the other cameras aren't directly being paid for by my taxes rather private individuals and businesses.
There was also a recent traffic incident that was caught on camera (presumably a traffic camera, not an ALPR/Flock camera) and I'm pretty sure this individual was posting on Facebook about how the flock haters shouldn't be allowed to view the footage, or that by viewing the footage that it was somehow indicating support for flock cameras.
It frustrates me.

Yes, and no. Basically the only reason I ever call or chat with customer service is precisely because there is an issue that's not covered by FAQs or cannot be done online, so the online support directs me to call, but then the system is like "DId YOu kNoW yoU cAn DO stUfF OnLIne???" , and I'm like, if I could have solved my problem online, I would have, it was your stupid online chat system that sent me calling... Like if only those two systems coordinated at all. Give a transcript to the person, and give me an extension and code to enter and skip me through all of the menus and crap...

It should say that regardless. I didn't know what star icon they were referring to, until you pointed out AI and Gemini. ⭐ is what I was thinking, and Gmail does feature a "star" system for marking emails.
