I believe the way it works in vanilla is that any time there’s active hostile pawns on the map (active as in targeting claimed buildings or friendly pawns with their movement or attacks), combat music kicks in and stays until none of those hostile pawns can attack yours anymore (mechs all destroyed, raiders fleeing etc).

However, it doesn’t turn on automatically for caves that have insects roaming them for example because they aren’t immediately hostile, but as soon as they target a friendly pawn it starts up

There’s almost certainly a mod that shuts it off if it’s bothering you though

Forced slowdown + combat music sounds like it could be a little irritating over time, even though death pall rising is one of my top 5 rimworld tracks

I think Assemble might be one of the sickest things they’ve ever added to the game conceptually

I have always had a soft spot for “build a custom X” cards with Kazakus and Zombeast stuff, so this keyword is like a dream come true for me

I think with some existing card pool tweaks + more cards being added to the pool, it’ll become more and more fun with each passing expansion

They weren’t banning strong cards, they were banning game breaking ones as an emergency measure. The Reincarnate Yogg combo in Wild was getting turn 3 OTKs consistently with zero counterplay

This one will almost certainly get nerfed in the first big balance patch post launch, but it’s far from making the game legitimately unplayable. They wouldn’t remove it outright just because it’s overtuned
