Ripjaws

Or you can explain

v0lt13

I dont see why the distinction is relevant

v0lt13

Yeah because he does

v0lt13

I said neither?

Rob still rates 1.9 style levels at least a star rate, feature if they are more unique

DJW statements are not exactly reliable as most of them were contradictory and later stated for some to be jokes.

I prefer to go purely by what we see in the show when it comes to powers.

v0lt13

Idk what you mean by meltdown. Atomix's weakness is that he can get tired if he uses too much energy too fast, or gets hard countered by an enemy that can absorb that energy like Malgax.

v0lt13

And who's fault is for those issues being there in the first place?

v0lt13

Because you have a high end GPU it has more processing power to spare for unoptimized rendering, issues lie in low-mid range hardware

v0lt13

No shit those games run well on a high end GPU, go any lower and you will start to see the issues.

v0lt13

I agree, I rank aliens based on power weakness ratio, Atomix has almost no shown weakness unlike Clockwork and Waybig. In Malgax's case he got hard countered.

v0lt13

simply features and improvements that improve the quality of life and makes it easier to setup animations

Quality Of Life

The problem with mecanim is not that is bad, but outdated. While it is a good animation system its missing a lot of QoL stuff, has a lot of limitations, and its very behind on modern day animation workflows.

v0lt13

Do you know what context means? The show has a kid with absorbtion powers without explanation in a world where there are humans with weird powers without explanation, just put two and two toghether, Kevin was made to be one of them not an alien, world building 101.

There is no headcanon just basic writing principles showing the author's intent.

v0lt13

In the context used in the show, and the making of the show, it does imply it. Eitherway whether you want to call Kevin a mutant or not he was meant to be a freak of nature like everyone else I mentioned, not alien, AF changed that.

v0lt13

Neither are clancy's, cooper's, zombozo's, the circus freaks, all those wrestlers. They are all refered to as freaks in classic, Kevin included. Also given that MoA wrote for Xmen and Ben 10 inspired a lot from it its natural they used the mutant concept from it, while never explecitly stated that any of them are outright mutants they are all commonly refered to as freaks which implies so.

AF tried to make everything alien, centralize all abnormalities.

v0lt13

Yes, unity doesn't shove AI down people's throats.

v0lt13

They are gonna merge all package docs into one place

I separate my stuff in two main categories, standalone systems and the game scripts themselfs.

Standalone systems are designed to be used universally not just one project so they can live on their own, this can include stuff like (ability system, utilities, saving system, etc.).

Game scripts focus on systems designed specifically for this game, so stuff like UI, environment interactions, player, specific editor tools, AI, etc.

I prefer sorting by features because it's clearer what that script is part of and also allows use of assembly definitions.
