Ancient Infinity Orchestra pull incredible harmonies, textures and orchestration that scratch the same itch as the absolute greats, like Mahler, Ravel, Stravinsky.

They really know how to anchor you to really groovy basslines (that may be in odd time signatures) and hook you with sublime melodies that you'll be humming for days, but layered all around and in the periphery are really daring harmonies that sometimes might even go unnoticed due to the instrumentation. They really know their stuff and it's wild that they pull this off in real time.

If you can I suggest listening to their albums lying down outside under some sunshine.

Most people who run 5km a day will tell you that not all of those days feel or go great, they just do it regardless. What they practice is doing the work even if the output is not up to par.

Yeah I don't like metal. i've tried. Idk if Malmsteem counts as metal? I used to be into that when I was learning guitar as a teen, but that type of virtuosity just repels me now, too cerebral. Like the way you see o+c used to dance like crazy on stage, I can't imagine that with something like AAL. In fact I just checked and they just stand there like lampposts. I appreciate the rec anyway, might check it out.

I'm not who you asked but that type of band is really impressive and I respect the craft but it's way too technical. There's non of the grit that's in TMV, where things are almost spilling out. It's the punk roots.

But yeah him and Ari Aster have such an interestingly similar trajectory: incredible debuts, incredible follow ups, and then it's down hill (although still making good films). They both came up at the same time.

No te creas, y más allá de eso, tampoco creo que sea equivalente. Es muy fácil comerse los números y alimentar ideas con eso, pero no hay que suplantar la realidad que se ve en la calle con las ideas de progreso que te venden para prolongar su propia estadía en el poder.

Viví en los dos paises, creeme que se muy bien lo que es vivir con la inflación, pero cuando salía a comprar, con el discurso de que la inflación bajaba, los precios no reflejaban ese cambio. Lo que me perseguía eran los precios del supermercado y la verdulería, y tener que vivir eso más el doublespeak de que las cosas estaban mejorando genera una disonancia cognitiva, además del hambre.
