yeah actually most nonbinaries are, in fact, not trans

virtual_luna

Having no gendered sex characteristics essentialy makes you look like a child. Besides it sounds like something that would stem from some sort of trauma (esp sexual).

virtual_luna

No, really it's just that if someone is comfortable in their birth sex then they are cis. If they experience dysphoria they are probably trans. That's all.

virtual_luna

because transmedicalism really is just common sense, but since people lost common sense, they had to give a name to the common sense ideas so they can demonize them.

virtual_luna

Personally, I've seen this issue in real life quite a few times.

virtual_luna

He literally said he wants to keep his penis and isn't uncomfortable looking like a guy.

virtual_luna

actually the whole thing with the weirdos announcing their "biological sex" is AGAINST transmedicalist ideology. If you truly wanna live as the opposite sex, then why tf would you keep reminding yourself and everyone that you are something else?

Besides it's just scientifically bullshit, and to me it just looks like trying to appeal to transphobes by "acknowledging reality" (reality as transphobes see it, where it's impossible to ever even remotely change sex). It also seems strangely similar to some tucutes rhetoric with the whole "sex and gender are different things!! you don't change sex you change gender which is obviously a social construct!!" or whatever. And well, I haven't read a lot about these people, but in the case of Buck Angel... Yea this rhetoric of calling self biological female obvioisly goes in line with advertising his porn as an exotic type of thing, calling self "man with a pussy", etc.

One last thing, when I've seen or talked to people like that, they reeked of internalized transphobia, misery, and low self-esteem. Often it can be the dysphoria (in conjunction with consuming harmful rhetorics we are discussing) which tells them they will never be real males/females. They seem to degrade themselves like that, because they feel they are less than "true men/women"; maybe they feel guilty for what they see as "pretending to be (gender)". Hence why they feel the need to talk about this, to maybe avoid being attacked by showing their humbleness, or to somehow make up for their perceived lies (here: being the gender they transitioned to) by telling their perceived truth (here: being "biologically x").

virtual_luna

How is it not being seen female if the tits are out and you can clearly gender this person as a female? Tf does even clothed as a trans man mean lol, this person is clothed like a girl

virtual_luna

If you like it maybe just change the jewelry? Maybe pink gold or silver? Black just looks weird. Either way snakebites aren't the best for gum/teeth health, so if you are still not sure, then that could be another reason to retire them. edit: oh and the balls on the horseshoe jewelry are too big imo

virtual_luna

wasn't buck angel like... doing porn and advertising it through the concept of a "man with a pussy"? overall willingly showing (and most likely using?) your natal genitals to a whole lot of people doesn't seem like something a transmed would do.

virtual_luna

idk, probably bc being a GNC female is much easier than being GNC male. Overall, at least where I live, it's easier to look different as a woman, than as a man, and many alternative women take it a step further and start identifying as nonbinary and shi, to make themselves even more "unique".... I think it's also a difference between male and female coping. Often females cope with problems by changing their looks (and being a trender is mostly about superficial things like clothing, pronouns), whilst males change other things - like their location or lifestyle.

Edit: It is a really interesting topic. I think it's also somewhat about misogyny, hence why it's more often women trying to separate from their gender, than men. Also I believe socially, at least where I am, there is a lot more tolerance towards women and men are more likely to be judgemental - thus not only it's easier for women to be a trender, but also men are more likely to have views (consciously or not) that prevent them from wanting to be a trender.

virtual_luna

that's one way to interpret it, but imo she was just answering to a person talking about their autistic experience, and stated that her child is autistic, and herself and her partner are maybe too. I don't think it was meant to downplay anything...

virtual_luna

what the f, I'm not a native english speaker and I really hoped that culled is another word for castrated and not what I found out it is... that's crazy

virtual_luna

Yeah, also it's a whole disorder on its own. I have idiopathic hypersomnia and this is exactly how I feel.

virtual_luna

well a lot actually. pregnancy is strongly associated with being a woman, because well... most people that get pregnant are in fact women! a hugeeeee majority of them.

virtual_luna

You literally said that the relationship IS queer because they are both trans. Read your comment again please.

virtual_luna

I don't think english is their first language, and I believe they meant turning him into a reason to fight.

I was really curious about what's behind their actions, because I knew that a good lot of these people really believe they are transgender, and it's not just "faking it", but something they really do think is real. I decided to just ask these people, and I have questioned a whole lot of them in a neutral manner, so they don't get defensive. So from that little research I've done, they usually say it's a "feeling" - they claim to just feel like a man (or nonbinary or smth). Or they say that they are just "more comfortable being labeled with (gender)". A good bunch of them, esp those identifying as nonbinary/agender seem to misinterpret the whole thing, and say that it's just because they "hate gender roles" or "do not fit in with neither men nor women", sometimes misinterpreting their low self-esteem as dysphoria (expressed as things like: "I don't like my breasts, therefore I am not a woman"). And of course there are a whole lot of the ones just full on brainwashed by the whole "no dysphoria" rethoric and saying the whole "men can be feminine too!!" and "sex is different from gender" (which is fair ig, but like?? so what?). What's interesting, I've heard quite a few of them claim they used to have huge dysphoria, but they "accepted their body and realized that clothes/body parts don't have gender", so for some reason they still identified as transgender... And well, don't want to diagnose them, but they often seem to have some things going on with their mental health, and I'm not talking about dysphoria.

virtual_luna

well I'm a male with a feminine name, and I don't even live in a country where it wouldn't be considered as such. People don't really care, they barely even ask me about it. Some have trouble with using this name + male pronouns (they get confused) so they just make up nicknames that sound more masculine. As long as you have no trouble with explaining it to someone sometimes (in your case I don't think you would have to do it a lot if you don't live in a country with a lot of people that would know it's a girl's name) then go for it. Really, if someone ridicules you or doesn't treat you seriously because of your name being unusual, then they clearly are immature.

virtual_luna

Kinda off topic, but I think you are me. Your profile picture and bio resonate with me.

virtual_luna

yea I see it now lol idk what I meant sorry

virtual_luna

Okay thank you, I'll be reading that. I've been researching the topic, and I've only found studies about self-identified nonbinaries, none about the existence (or its lack) of such a condition. Maybe I'll find something in your sources, as I've said I don't exclude the possibility of nb being a thing, I do know nb people who seem to legitimately experience dysphoria, still I think mostly it's not the case. I know what intersex is, don't worry.

virtual_luna

yea you are mad mad, everyone can talk about whatever they want lmaoo calm tf down, YOU are in a space for people with transmed opinions, and you are getting mad that I... have transmed opinions?

I'm not cherrypicking, it's just extremely unpleasant to talk with you, you are rude asf, trying to silence me in any way, accusing me of not having knowledge etc etc. You are not discussing your views, but actually ATTACKING different worldviews, even though I tried to really be polite and did not say any of the shit you've said. Now YOU from the start kept accusing me of lacking knowledge, projecting, kept pushing your views onto me just because I'm wrong and you're right, kept saying a whole lot of shitty childish pseudointellectual "arguments", and overall acted like you are better than everyone, while it's YOU coming to a space that doesn't even belong to you.

Shut up, go take a walk, and calm tf down + stop calling this a discussion, you are arguing and getting visibly stressed for nothing. You really have a lot to say and expect a lot from others, and at the same time you couldn't even bother to try and understand what I wrote (yeah, talking to you felt like talking with a company chatbot) and acting like a D.

It's so funny you accused me of projecting, while it's you saying shit like "trying to act like a champion" LIKE WHERE? LMAO I literally answered and told you to not respond if you were to get stressed, but you literally had to interpret it as... whatever you have in mind? why? idk to me probably because you have hostile intentions and ARE in fact projecting.

And I'm not speaking for any people, I'm speaking MY OPINION, stop acting like everything is some sort of activism, I'm not a sjw to be speaking for someone.

virtual_luna

how the fck is this MLM when as she said she is not a MAN? for the love of god at least make it make sense.

virtual_luna

Females as in "afabs". I've said no offense, because I did not want to offend you...? Idk why you see my honest opinion as rude, viewing world differently than you should not be rude, either way sorry for that.
