Thanks a lot for the detailed guide. BTW how can you be responsible for something that you write on Reddit? You there there is a serial killer who would be like: "Damn my device is bricked. Let me find Full-Beautiful-8796 in the population of 8 billion"

Won't the unlock bootloader fails the basic integrity or have you installed Magisk or something?

Is there any patch for sportzx?

Was looking for this. It was such a hit circa 2010 before they made it mobile friendly.

The new Updator app is much much better than the older one. However, there is this issue that even if I install the latest update, reboot the device and the app show me that the Update date is that of the latest one, still it allows me to install the update again. A few days ago, the install option would disable but now it is enabled always. BTW I am using LOS 23.2 on OP 8T

There is no option to login through a passkey. There is Google, email or username.
void_in
I am not sure how this works. I have logged into the web app, created the passkey and it is saved in my twitter account. The browser is Firefox and not chrome or other Google derivatives. Now when I am trying to use the login with Google option and choosing the Google account, nothing happens. OS is LineageOS but integrity fails on it as well

Hey Spurs is a side that barely saved itself from the relegation. Don't include it in the list.

Thank you very much for the wonderful work you are going. Can you share the knowledge path you followed while learning to port the LOS to your device? I have build the LOS for my OnePlus 8T and now I am trying to build a non debug version to try the relock bootloader feature. However taking the AOSP and port it to a non supported device require a lot of work (which I am willing to put myself to). I believe it would be someone like AOSP + kernel for the device + device drivers. However if you could provide a learning path, it would be great. Thanks once again.

Yup. Thanks a lot for the reply. And I have heard that till OP 8, one can actually relock the boot loader after installing the custom OS. I am planning to test this feature specifically.

May I ask what you like the most about OnePlus 8 series? I have OnePlus 8T with LineageOS and I am loving it. Just wonder why specifically it is your favorite?

Thank you very much for such a detailed reply. Its great that 8T is able to sign the image. Just to reiterate and confirm (since bricking the device is not an option lol), the following should work: 1. https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/kebab/build/variant2/ 2. https://wiki.lineageos.org/signing_builds
Thanks once again.

I have OnePlus 8T on which LineageOS 23.2 is currently installed. Can I still sign the image with custom keys? The way I understand it, if we install anything Android 11+ on the supported OnePlus devices (including 8T), the ability to relock the bootloader is lost forever. Is this true?

The double ss were on purpose?

Thank you very much for such a detailed reply. Please do post your make files. All the research I did was to learn the process as well.
This guide on xdaforums mentioned that it is possible to relock the boot loader on OP 8T but in any case you are absolutely right. The discussion on the Internet and especially the LOS forums just don't want to entertain the idea of relocking boot loaders at all even on the devices which supports it (such as Pixel, Fairphone etc) which I think is a shame. Thanks once again for such a detailed and technical reply.
Yeah. Apart from the obvious AI, OP thin as if Google is an honest player with the user well being at the heart of the decision making. Once Google realized that custom ROMs are at par or in some cases exceed the quality provided by them, they started restricting the platform more and more. If the problem was only technical, it would be easily solved tomorrow.
