I make one called Soundshed Guitar https://guitar.soundshed.com but it's likely not what most would consider simple (it's not too complex, but there are probably simpler ones). It doesn't have that many built in bass tones but there are thousands of bass amps and bass pedals available via tone3000 (which is built in).

If you are somehow blocking the webview from being instantiated then that would do it. It would affect a range of other apps as well but possibly not ones you are using.

Unplug the amp USB, install the windows driver again:

Then reboot windows, then plug the amp USB back in. Maybe. I don't have that model but do have an older katana.

One thing to look at is hyper threading setting in bios, turning that off can help, also power saving on USB etc.

I do get crackles as well and resetting ASIO can help but it could be USB data transfer issues as well (I have an old Steinberg UR12 and run on a mini PC with a USB hub).

It won't do anything until you plug a guitar in and at that point it should be self evident if it's some kind of overdrive.
