Welcome to Reddit!

Mistborn was one of his earlier works and he’s matured a lot since then.
Stormlight is def better.
If you’re enjoying Mistborn now, you’ll love his other stuff.

I don’t think it’s upbadgjng. It’s not like you’re slapping a performance badge on a standard or LR.
But more importantly, who cares.
ween0t
That’s just standard Reddit subs.
I love my job and most PMs I know love their jobs too.

How long have you had to fully on board onto this project?
If it’s well documented you should see all the discovery, value props, and decisions made.
If any of those are lacking, then best to form your own opinion based on discovery yourself.
If it really has no value you better be sure of that before you tank this months long project.
Go in curious and optimistic first- it’s easy to have doubt when you don’t have the full picture on a project mid flight. Take the time to really analyze, realign with stakeholders before you form, and more importantly present an opinion

Give some time to settle, maybe read another series from the willverse, then go and read threshold. It’s so good revisiting the characters for a proper epilogue

Not about to get into a Reddit debate but there ARE studies that show some screen time can have some positive results in child development.
All in all, it’s about what media and how often.
The stigma is so overblown.
Be a parent, teach your kid, don’t be lazy. Yada yada
ween0t
Yup, we are all with you. I suggest you take a break and revisit in a few years.
You’ll feel saddened again but also seeing an old friend is still great.
ween0t
The whole screen time thing is so overblown.
I would not worry about this, especially since it limited with just your parents.
It will not affect your child in any way developmentally. In fact, in small doses it will probably help your child.
The problem is if they’re exposed to it constantly without any guard rails or limits.

Picked up a 2018 Tesla model 3 as my daily earlier this year. Grabbed it for about 14k with 100k miles.
Best decision as my 4Runner doesn’t keep piling up miles and it can be my road trip and adventure vehicle vs daily.

If he’s afraid of needles. The worst part of the entire experience is the actual anesthesia needle.
It was by far the worst and most painful part.
Everything else was relatively easy if you take it easy.

ENJOY THIS SERIES!!

Yes and no.
If you enjoy driving for the driving feel, shifting gears, hearing the engine and not necessarily speed and throttle response- then no, an EV will feel “soulless”
I have a model 3 and it’s fun and super quick but it pales in comparison to the enjoyment of driving for example my s2000.
The s2000 is slow as shit but it just has so much feel to it.
EVs can be fun though don’t get me wrong. Instant torque, they feel pretty planted, and are ridiculously quick.
It really depends what level of enjoyment you get from driving.
Do an extended test drive or rent an EV for a few days and see if you like it.

First year cures my eczema for months, second year it destroyed my eczema and made it much worse.

lol Lindon would go straight to fighting gods and murk everyone including the AI

Previous org was CPO > Director of Product > PMs
In my new org its CTO > VP of Product > PMs
It really depends on your org, size, maturity.
Doesn’t really matter as long as leadership recognizes the value and role of PMs.

Sounds like you’ve got the right instincts and you should absolutely pressure test whether your implementation of AI is actually solving an problem or not.
That being said, even though humans or going more deterministic may not be solving too much at the user level, but what about at scale? If a decision a human makes takes 1 second but that can remove full cognitive load across 1000’s of users, that’s true value.
Again only you can answer that.
On the thought that every one just wants to ship AI for AI sake, I think everyone acknowledges it and unfortunately investors want to see it even if doesn’t mean value.
I also look at it as even if you’re not building a valuable specific feature per se, you’re building skills and experience building AI tools. That could translate to something in the future that does have value cause you’ve built that muscle. You dont want to sit here 5 years from now and haven’t buillt, tested, or iterated on AI.
Just my 2 cents. Keep pressure testing and challenging problem statements. 🤘

We have both. We have a kid so the Y gets used much more. If no kids, the 3 is great and I still take my son out in the 3 if it’s just him and I.
The 3 is more “fun”, it feels more planted but it’s much smaller and it’s kind of a pain to get and out of becuase it’s pretty low

LOL so these companies will need CPOs but not PMs?!
lol good luck.

I’d only push back that hw4 on FSD v14 lite is actually quite good. Yes it’s not as good as HW4, but for the average driver it’s like 90% of the way there. This has been backed by many studies and user experiences.
So considering hw3 has been out for almost 10 years, gen2 is probably just fine if you don’t care about eyes off.
ween0t
I mean that’s their value proposition right? The harvester is meant as a no compromise alternative to ICE and full EV.
If they can actually make it happen then they’ll succeed. We don’t know the generator specs but it’s feasible the output will outpace usage on normal highway driving and even towing.
ween0t
If money isn’t the biggest deal, then get a juniper.
I’d all you care about is FSD and commuting then honestly you can get a HW3 2018 model 3 and it will be substantially cheaper and FSD works pretty damn well.
I have both a 2018 model 3 and a 2023 model y. FSD on both is about the same considering they’re both hw3.
And regardless of what people say, hw3 is very close to hw4.
The biggest difference you’ll notice with a newer vehicle is suspension and overall comfort- which is meaningful.
ween0t
When was the last time you tried it?
I too, enjoy driving. And I was an FED naysayer for exactly the same reasons you stated.
Then I tried it again and it’s gotten much better.
I have FSD for my commutes and to remove mental load keeping me fresh.
I still enjoy driving and unlike many folks here who pride themselves on 90%+ FSD usage, I’m somewhere in the 30%-40 % range.
I understood it as similar. He talks about how stone takes thousands of years to form so I inferred him destroying it helps fuel his madra. Or just that turtles eat rocks
