Exactly this!! I have severe anxiety. We always make sure to plan ahead for things like this and book seats together

NTA it's a weird gap. He practically just graduated high school, I would react the same way

What kind of markers do you use? Also what coloring book is this?? it's adorable
whatsy0urdamage
That's amazing!! I want one 😭😭🙌

NAH It sounds like you knew from the get-go that you would be uncomfortable going, so I do think that it would have been better if you had told her earlier but I also understand you were trying to make her happy. I also understand being introverted and you already went to brunch which was clearly uncomfortable for you. I just think there needs to be better communication between the two of you especially since she does sound a lot more extroverted.

10 pro xl everything especially my Google apps are freezing crashing and lagging. It's ridiculous

That's adorable!! Where'd you get the coloring book 🥺🥺

NTA Todd sucks and your husband has no spine. Why does he allow his friend to talk to you in that way?

Pixel 10 Pro XL everything is crashing and freezing. It's bad. I have the October update for my system but I'm still waiting on the October one for the Play store.

YWBTA if you keep pushing her. It's awesome that you and your dad are able to bond over it but your mom has made her boundary clear. On top of that it's possible that it's also coming from a place of trauma for her based off of what she said about her parents, I would just drop it.

NTA it's incredibly annoying to have someone play matchmaker without your consent
whatsy0urdamage
Not an easy situation at all and I don't think I have any advice outside of what the other commenters have already said, but I would love an update 🩷 Good luck to you

I never wanted siblings as a kid. I used to have anxiety at the idea of it. The idea of an extra person being added in was irritating to me as I was introverted and didn't like being forced to be around other people unless I wanted to be. As an adult I still don't think I would enjoy a sibling but with my parents aging maybe it would have been good to have some kind of family around since I don't have close connection with my extended family.

Dude you need to leave. He's abusing a child and you're staying. You need to leave. You need to get those kids out of there.

I could definitely see that. Car accidents can be pretty traumatic and sometimes people don't want to get back on the road for a while. It's might be easier to hide behind her husband, then admit that it's fear-based if that's the case.

Has anyone seen any booberry flower from them recently??? Trying to track it down

NTA it's your wedding and your choice, your mom never should have gone behind your back and promised your sister anything. Just a gentle note for the future though—try to leave out terms like BPD unless there’s an actual professional diagnosis. It can be very stigmatizing. She doesn't need a personality disorder to be controlling or erratic. Hold your ground on the wedding plans and protect your peace!

I mean if they're saying treatment in general I would definitely be defensive when it was first brought up because that's just who I am but they're probably more worried about you than anything else. I think if you could find a treatment that you maybe even enjoy a little bit, it could help. I know not a lot of people talk about like holistic treatment modules but I did find reiki to be helpful or like equine therapy was awesome too, just a pain to get insurance to cover it. I think it's a reasonable request to ask someone to get treatment if it's articulated calmly and with love. I would just really focus in on the request being presented out of a place of support though so it doesn't feel like a criticism or an ultimatum.

I mean he clearly doesn't want this kid and you still seem to be on the fence. I would really think about this for a bit if I were you. You're the one who's pregnant. It's your body. It's absolutely your choice, but he very clearly does not like the idea of being a father. So I would be wary about how much involvement you expect from him. Basically what I'm trying to say is if you decide this and you decide to have the baby I wouldn't expect a happy family type dynamic if he's already unhappy with the idea and has already verbally stated it would cause resentment.

NTA but I don't think that your fiance is marriage material to be honest. You guys aren't even married yet and he's already taking his mother's side over something as pathetic as an old wedding dress. You should stand your ground and you should be with a man that supports you standing your ground.
whatsy0urdamage
Did they say DBT or treatment in general?? Because while I understand not wanting to be with someone who won't or can't get help, I do not understand forcing one specific kind of therapy on anyone. Like you absolutely should get some kind of therapeutic help but no one should be telling you it has to be specifically DBT. Yes it's the standard, but there are other things available if you feel that DBT doesn't fully fit.

Honestly if you don't have kids and you're friends with people who are having kids, even if you like being around children, a lot of the times those relationships don't last. Priorities change schedules change. In my personal experience they usually end up finding friends who also have kids and you fall off. It's easier for them to sustain relationships with people who have the same priorities and the same schedules. I imagine it would make it even harder if you don't like being around children. Obviously there are other situations where people are able to make those friendships work, but I do know that a lot of the times they become more interested in having friendships with people who have similar lives to theirs.

YTA She said no respect the boundary. Why are you so obsessed with using her shower? And what makes you think you're entitled to it? Not to mention now she lives with eight other people, maybe they're not comfortable with that.
I would definitely prefer to eat with them but I'm not able to. They decided that they would rather eat together just them as a couple :/
