Machine-authored tests are only as good as the HITL who understands them. LLMs love to write their own tests for a problem with vague specs/criteria, then write code that satisfies the tests, and the HITL sees nothing but green checks and merges. This is a major, growing issue in software, and our uppance hasn't even yet come on this one. Be very, very, very careful with a test suite so large that it "feels" thorough, but isn't, and has now become unapproachable by humans.
