This is one of the better articles I have read on the subject because it at least makes an attempt to explain the reasons: South Africans have had enough of illegal immigrants using public services which the limited tax base has to pay for and they have had enough of the higher rate of unemployment and the consequential crime the situation creates.
In Europe if you complain about illegal immigrants you are called a racist. In Africa if you complain about them you are labelled xenophobic.
The root of this problem is that the ruling ANC government let these people in freely and people have made lives in South Africa in the 32 years that the ANC have been governing.
This issue has traction at the moment because elections are coming up, but next year most of those deported will be back because countries like Malawi are fundamentally unable to generate any kind of economic growth and the South African government has still not done anything about closing the porous border. People simply wade across the Limpopo River from Zimbabwe to South Africa, or get their passports renewed and enter on a tourist visa and stay.

Malawians have a strange culture. Now that they have been told to leave, they are demanding that their own government pay for their transport home, even though they made their own way to South Africa with the intention to remain illegally.
Yesterday I read a story in which they were telling journalists that if Malawi can’t afford to pay for the transport to send them home, then it is their wealthy countrymen who should pay. They specifically mentioned Bushiri and said that he has a moral obligation to pay for buses to send them home. Shepherd Bushiri is a self-proclaimed prophet, a charlatan and scam artist; he is the last person they should be expecting to feel any moral obligation for anything.

Reality is the exact opposite of what you are saying. Longevity in clothes is from artificial fibres that can retain dyes. Natural fibres wear much faster, but they are more pleasant to wear.

Skip the Garden Route, there isn’t much to see there. Kruger Park is a great adventure. You can fly into Skukuza from Joburg with Airlink and rent a car at the airport from Europcar. Then from Skukuza fly direct to Cape Town and enjoy the wine route. Franschoek and the Constantia Valley is a must.

I have found that the only brand of supplement that noticeably works for me is Metagenics. They manufacture medical grade supplements. You can buy online, some pharmacies and Wellness Warehouse. They have an immune booster formula and also vit C and zinc work well at the onset of a viral infection.

Cinnamon rolls are a great idea. As far as I know you have to get a certificate from the municipality to prove that your kitchen is clean, and that will open doors for you, like with a health certificate you can sell to your local Spar, for example.

I have switched to Europcar and I am much happier with them.

I first read about this during Covid, when wells were being shut down due to low demand.
I looked it up and one thing I had not considered is that it is not only Iran that has a storage and shut down problem, it is all the countries who rely on Hormuz to export their oil:
“If this disruption lasts only days or a couple of weeks, the biggest damage in many Middle East fields will likely be to the flow path, restart sequence, and surface-operating rhythm, not to the reservoir itself. But if the interruption stretches into weeks or months, the risk shifts from deferred barrels to changed subsurface behavior, such as waterflooded carbonates can lose sweep discipline, mature water-driven oil fields can come back with worse coning and sanding, and gas-condensate systems can suffer stubborn deliverability loss even when pressure still looks high.”

I love that you put Hitler and Trump in the same category.

The photos are very nicely taken. The impression of what life is like there is one of hell on Earth: poverty and filth everywhere you look.

You are the racist calling a person with albinism having a disability. And you don’t even know you are racist because you are so wrapped up in it.

Elon likes to think of himself as having political swing, but really he is a just a spoilt South African boy who made it in the States and while Trump's cabal like his money, they still think of him as being a member of a "shithole country".

Starlink is a commercial company, not an arm of the military. Iran simply has to revoke their right to trade and they will turn it off in the Iranian geofence.. There is no point in risking their satellites being shot out of the sky when they are a commercial company and have no political swing.

Take heart in the knowledge that governments around the world are staffed by incompetent twats, it is not only America that has this problem.

The EU is set up to further trade, not limit trade as Trump’s administration is doing. They are seeing this as a temporary measure. No actual treaties have been signed, this is just an acknowledgement of understanding and they are hoping Trump will fuck off soon. They are, like China, also scrambling to adapt to a world in which American hegemony across the world has been lost.

When I think of Egypt and tourism, the first thing that comes to mind is having the shits. I have heard so many stories of holidaymakers getting sick from contaminated food there, that I don't even want to set foot in Egypt. So no, hosting a major event in Egypt is a terrible idea.
