I’m really sorry this happened to you — it sounds like a genuinely awful and frightening experience. I hope you alerted security, because the behavior you describe was completely unacceptable.
One small point, and I mean this gently: the broad use of “human trafficking” for episodes like this is well meaning, but it can distract from the much more common reality of sexual harassment, assault, drink spiking, and other predatory behavior toward women. Those risks are serious enough on their own and don’t require a larger trafficking “cabal” narrative behind them.

Another important update: doing this nonsense race is still a horrible decision that will in the best case position Indycar as sinking on the maga ship and more likely be a racing clusterfuck.

they didnt find any sponsors last year and their owners were in financial trouble already last year. they were clearly cooked already some months ago, sadly.

because since last fall, they have been in massive financial jeopardy, and it was clear already a month ago that they werent coming to st. pete.

Shocking! In other breaking news: Water is wet, Sting Ray Robb is slow, and Trump is in the Epstein files.

Yes she was great.
This is what gets me about all the DOGE stuff and the general government worker hate. Yes, there are obviously underperformers in government, but there are also countless clerks, customer service folks, inspectors etc etc that are professional, hard working people doing a very tough job and facing daily hostility.
I had an IRS earlier this year that was amazing. friendly, well informed, and patient. The call was just as DOGE was calling the IRS fundamentally corrupt, and while they were announcing mass layoffs of the already under-staffed agency.
Kudos to good bureaucrats.

Ha ha fill up the clown car!
It is so good that you reacted the way you did. And sorry for being a bit pedantic about the terminology — that’s obviously not the important part here!
The reason I have a bit of a hang-up about the phrase “human trafficking” is that I find it striking how much public awareness focuses on this sort of “stranger danger” scenario, when the sad reality is that trafficking and exploitation are much more often rooted in existing relationships — partners, acquaintances, employers, or family members :(
But that’s really a separate point. What happened to you sounds frightening and completely unacceptable, and you absolutely did the right thing by reacting to it.
