Ignoring the left image for a second, I'm here to bring a Rules Correction to any Uno players here. In order to have as many cards as the person in the right photo indicates to me that they are playing the game incorrectly.
In Uno, if you can't play a card, then you draw a card; "A card" meaning "One card." If you happen to pull a card that you can play, then you may play it, but you don't need to play it.
This rule is commonly confused as, "draw as many cards as it takes to find a playable card."
(IMO) Don't play that way. It makes the game take way too long. And, Uno is boringly long when played correctly. ... Er, whatever, I shouldn't being yucking anyone's yum. Play your games the way you want to play them.
Shout out to r/boardgames.
(There's an alternative explanation. Everyone at the table is very unlucky. They're pulling only one card each, yet somehow nobody is getting any playable cards. Very unlikely.)

I would say, "Feral = a domesticated animal with no owner" is a more accurate definition since you can introduce wild species to non-native habitats.

I grew up in Western KY and I had this same problem growing up. I get some serious anxiety and embarrassment whenever I say something with a KY "twang", so for some words, I'll over compensate. "Our" is actually a perfect example. I heavily emphasis the OU-er to ensure I don't say "are".
Science Hill (I had never heard of it, so i had to look it up) is in the Southeast part of the state, so assume thicker accents and "Southern" values.

Just spreading an fyi that I learned recently... If your indoor temperature is above 95°F, then you shouldn't run a fan. At that point the fan acts more like a convection oven instead of circulating cool air. I feel really bad for everyone in the pacific northwest that doesnt have AC.

This guy JAQs off.
(That's "Just Asking Questions" for the uninitiated.)

Same here. For me, I became aware of the problem because I have started to see submissions after I have voted on them. The specific options are as follows:
[ ] don't show me submissions after I've upvoted them (except my own)
[ ] don't show me submissions after I've downvoted them (except my own)
Whenever I try to re-enable them I get redirected back to the prefs page (https://old.reddit.com/prefs?generic_error=INVALID_OPTION) with error text that reads 'your preferences couldn't be saved'.
Edit: Topic is being covered in this submission: https://old.reddit.com/r/help/comments/nbqyj5/your_preferences_couldnt_be_saved/

I've seen the series twice, but my knowledge is far from encyclopedic. So, IIRC ...
For the entire series, we are to believe that Walter was somehow screwed or manipulated out of the company, Gray Matter Tech, that he started with Gretchen and Elliott. At the time of the company was founded, Gretchen was with Walter, not Elliott. I think we're led to believe that in Walter's mind, Elliott "stole" Gretchen from him.
In the 5th season, we learn that Walter leaves Gray Matter voluntarily. He sells his shares for some low sum ($5000 according to the BB fan wiki) and breaks off contact with Gretchen and Elliott completely. The BB fan wiki suggests that Walt met Gretchen's (very) wealthy family which triggered his inferiority complex. ... I remember being more complicated than that, but it has been a while since I've last seen S5.
There's, also, quite a few flashbacks in various seasons that show us that Walter is an awful, deplorable teacher. Of course, he's an impassioned chemist and eager to be a mentor to his students. However, he's vindictive and downright shitty to his (edit: problematic and/or disinterested) students; key example being Jessie.

Walt has finally Broken Bad.
🤨 If you've waited this long to consider Walt "evil", then I would suggest either rewatching the series or to reevaluate your own morals. IMO, Walt has "Broken Bad" in episode 1, season 1. And, given some of the flash backs shown in the final season, it would be reasonable to argue that he was an evil person before the series premier.

Don't know if the Cambrian Plaza merry go round is still standing.
IIRC, the merry-go-round sign was given landmark status as part of the agreement to turn that shopping center into an apartment complex. It would stink of they tear it down, I believe it was just refurbished in the past couple years.

Nicely done. No company logo unfortunately. 😣

Any chance there's more pictures of the front of the jacket? Specificly the top of the left panel. I feel like half of silicon valley gives out ski jackets every year. I have this exact same jacket from my previous company.

The Green Deal would help fund improvements to the energy sector. Funds that could be used to ... I don't know, maybe... winterize existing wind turbines and competently build new turbines and solar panels.

How about a local, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that's doing actual journalism, the Texas Tribune?
From frozen natural gas wells to frozen wind turbines, all sources of power generation have faced difficulties during the winter storm. But Texans largely rely on natural gas for power and heat generation, especially during peak usage, experts said. ...
More than half of ERCOT’s winter generating capacity, largely powered by natural gas, was offline due to the storm, an estimated 45 gigawatts, according to Dan Woodfin, a senior director at ERCOT. ...
Woodfin said Tuesday that 16 gigawatts of renewable energy generation, mostly wind generation, is offline and that 30 gigawatts of thermal sources, which includes gas, coal and nuclear energy, is offline.
“It appears that a lot of the generation that has gone offline today has been primarily due to issues on the natural gas system,” Woodfin said during a Tuesday call with reporters. ...

It's almost as if this situation was completely predictable.
Initially, it appears, some coal plants went offline due to cold-weather problems, taking a large chunk of electricity out of the grid. Luminant, a major power-generation company, confirmed that its two coal units at the Oak Grove plant in Robertson County failed, as did two units at a coal plant in Milam County. ...
Natural gas plants were hastily turned on to make up for the coal-plant failures. But, Fraser said, some power cuts affected some stations for compressing natural gas — so without power they couldn't pump gas, causing some gas power plants to go offline. ...
Wind generators also appeared to be having problems, said Fraser; he had received reports of some turbines shutting down because of issues with ice on the blades.

Sure, but let's not make strawman arguments such as putting sucrose (sugar) into baby formula. All milk has sugar in it, but it's mostly lactose. There are babies that can't process lactose, so you have to feed them something. And, since you can't start feeding them solid foods, you have to give them sort of carbohydrate. The easiest to process being sucrose.

The heads of the Capitol Police are selected by and are responsible only to the Speaker of the House and the Senate Pro Tempore. They have no responsibility to follow any orders directed from the executive branch.
yes_or_gnome
So what exactly is your argument?
My original comment was two sentences. If you can't figure what my argument is, then i feel sorry for you.
If you need some sources then I would start with an encyclopedia. I hear there's a free one available thats been a great resource for at least the past 20 years.
yes_or_gnome
Sure. I lacked some specificity, but the post office employees fall under the executive branch and so they are the ones responsible for enforcing the mask policy.
If an altercation ensues then that could be a local jurisdiction issue, but depending on the crime, potentially a federal issue
yes_or_gnome
Last i checked both the military and all of federal police agencies fall under the executive branch. Capitol Police are an exception.
yes_or_gnome
Executive orders only apply to people that work under the executive branch which is most Federal employees.
The legislature (and the judiciary) doesn't take orders from the executive branch.
