Husband: “it’s fine, it will heal on its own.”
Wife: “just go get it checked out to make sure.”

That combined with taking your health more seriously for your children’s sake. I would assume that’s probably part of it.

First, I’d like to thank you both for your support. Special shout out to u/MarkMacCreery here for stepping up and believing in my vision before anyone else did. Now, let me return the favour and promise you that I will not let you down. We will march forward, sweeping through Reddit to bring progress to the masses. As a team, or dare I say, movement, we will expand our beliefs throughout.

The corporate principle isn’t trying to explain why humans do/don’t join groups. It’s trying to explain how an effective leader needs one person vouching for them. Your quoted statement and the principle are just explaining different things that happen to relate to each other.

You can’t start with it being unfair, backtrack to it being predictable, and then tell people they lack reading comprehension. Take some accountability and realize if your backtrack was actually your intent, you did a poor job conveying it in your first message.

I agree that the dudes were horrible. I was glad they were hit with karma, and I wish it was even worse for them than just being eliminated because they’ll learn nothing from this experience.

In regard to the shoes tactic, it’s exactly what I’m talking about when it comes to being accountable. They finished a competition where EVERYONE saw the makeshift shoes. It was irresponsible to walk barefoot and the risk vs. reward made no sense. Abby and Pharaoh would have clearly seen the makeshift shoes already. She made poor decisions, overstated her abilities, and was dragging her team down in the final.

She has a GoFundMe on IG asking the public for $50k to set the world right after being kicked off near the end. She has a victim complex and no self awareness.

zoA_

Who the hell told her to walk barefoot there? She had makeshift shoes for the competition.. did she throw them out? At a certain point, people need to be accountable for their ineptitude.

And yea, Charlie sucked, and did mentally break her down, and that could be part of her issues with confidence. That said, there needs to be a separation here where we can have empathy for the difficulties while being objective about her clearly being out of her depth on this show.

zoA_

Because she got kicked out during the final. She’s looking to raise $50k as some sort of set the world right type of thing lol.

Apps are recommended based on user usage data (time, location, how often they’re used…etc.). They also don’t ever download by themselves. As sketchy as Apple is with their products, they’re actually pretty strict with app developers. Unfortunately, this was just a flat out lie by the person.

zoA_

It’s one thing if it’s a misunderstanding, but this is a clear lie, straight to your face. You know the answer here already, but I get that it’s hard to face going back to square one.

You’ll meet a better long term match when you accept that you don’t need to lower yourself to make something like this work. You need to realize your value and make sure your partner isn’t someone that diminishes that. You deserve better than to waste your time waiting until this same situation happens again.

Made it pretty far and the game loop just became a chore without any reward. Spending doesn’t make a difference either, it ends up being the same slog with a larger number. Horrible game that is set up as a quick money grab before people quit.

zoA_

Her asking for donations with a GoFundMe is the icing on the cake. Professional victim with zero accountability. If she just stopped talking about how prepared she was and how she took a course (literally probably watched a YouTube video) I would have more empathy.

Why would you walk to get your shoes without those makeshift shoes on? Why go bare foot? Aside from the bs bullying from Charlie, every other negative was caused by her own ineptitude and lack of self awareness.

zoA_

Ahh that’s unfortunate. If some huge twist came out of nowhere I would go back and watch it. If it’s going to be formulaic it needs to have other standout features.

Appreciate you coming through with an answer.

It’s crazy cause I have a soft spot for action-focused anime that have basically no plot, and I tried to like this but it was just so impossible to find anything to like about it.

I didn’t watch the last couple episodes, does it have an amazing season finale or something?

My dad played Bill Withers records for me growing up and for a long time my alarm clock was Lovely Day. That doesn’t mean record players and Bill Withers were relevant to my generation. At school, kids played pogs during recess. If you had pogs at home, that doesn’t mean it was part of your generation… I don’t think the concept being expressed here is that hard to understand.

Most of the time things that are attributed to specific generations are done so through popular culture and ideological norms that the majority experienced.

zoA_

Yea, I don’t know where that’s coming from lol. I find it really strange that people make up things like that. The chat is pretty chill…

He’s clearly made for the Stanley Cup final and not the playoffs. We just have to wait until he gets there.

Was just in Fujiyoshida for 3 nights and aside from the pagoda, stations, and Lake Kawaguchiko, there weren’t many people. It seems like people are just packing into busses and checking off the major spots. At night when we went to eat, there was almost no one out.

The Lake was ridiculously busy though and it really was the worst group of tourists I’ve seen so far. Such a strange experience.

zoA_

lol, you’re surprised the child slaves sent to die don’t want to be warm and trusting to their new master, who happens to be part of a society that pretends they don’t exist? They’ve been burned so many times they can’t trust, of course they’ll be jaded and loaded with PTSD triggers.

“We’ve improved Google Search Partners! Accounts leveraging it have seen a 20% increase in conversions.”

zoA_

These aren’t the streamer awards. People being invested and having a good time is great. I do think the costumes look dumb, but the spirit of it fits well so just go with the flow here.

Good post; sums up a lot of my thoughts. There is definitely a line they had to cross to accumulate that much wealth and the yearly philanthropy doesn’t make up for it at all. They’re objectively against humanity, and while I do understand how we’ve become an us/me vs. them society, the scale of their negative impact is something I could never reconcile with.

zoA_

Ahh so reading is something else for you to work on 😂

zoA_

Yea, if you’re an established brand with a market share lead, that already put in the work for their blended CPAs to be accurate. No problem, hope you learned something.

zoA_

You think CPM becomes the goal? Let me guess, you’re the type that thinks platform CPAs are accurate.

Most client’s aren’t even remotely close to being set up to accurately measure attribution, let alone collect and segment their own first party data. Do you think the social campaign that drives reach with a reasonable frequency serves no purpose in the consumer journey? It’s a lot cheaper to set up reasonable KPIs that consider the entire marketing ecosystem than to throw budget at campaigns because their platform CPAs are good.

I’d rather have a plan to get to the point where we have semi-accurate data (or data we’re actually comfortable calling a source of truth) without making rash budget decisions along the way. Not every channel is a conversion driver and most websites are built without even considering CRO. It’s not realistic to judge everything on CPA when a million different things go into it.

zoA_

Controlling the narrative is the skill that separates people in this field. ROAS goes down, but you’re running upper-mid campaigns? Change the measurement framework, check onsite metrics, attribution…etc. Establish goals that make sense for the channel, find positives that go along with any negative result. Poor results, could it be the website (CRO initiatives)? There are a ton of ways to dictate things, and they don’t have to be fake if in the long run they’re a positive for the client.

I’ve worked agency, vendor, and client side and the ability to craft a story is the most transferable skill between them because you always have someone to report to (even at senior leadership levels). Don’t stress too much about the chaos since you still have some control.
